There is no physical street address or store/building to visit. My name is Stacy De Nooy and I am a Holistic Pet Wellness Practitioner and the owner of BZ Pet Wellness. I offer holistic, non-invasive modalities for pets to promote relaxation, optimal health and overall wellness. Services I offer include canine bodywork and massage, pet safety classes, nutrition support sessions and animal Reiki. I

also have a Beginner's Guide to Natural Flea/Tick Solutions PDF document available for purchase. I am an Advanced Canine Massage Therapist trained in therapeutic and sports massage techniques. I studied at one of the only accredited canine massage therapy schools in the country. My mobile massage business offers professional in-home massage services for dogs; ideal for senior pets, canine athletes and competition dogs, as well as those recovering from injuries or surgery. Massage is also incredibly beneficial for the comfort and relaxation of any and all dogs! I am a certified Holistic Carnivore Nutritionist specializing in species appropriate diets (raw and Primordial) for canines and felines. I'm also a certified Pet Food Nutrition Specialist, and Raw Pet Food Nutrition Specialist. I assist my clients with understanding what they feed their pets and how to choose ways to improve their pets diet. I am a pet safety advocate and am certified by multiple companies in pet CPR & first aid techniques. I'm a retired Pet Tech CPR and First Aid Instructor, specializing in teaching cat/dog CPR and first aid classes. After years of working with students and listening to their feedback I created training programs to include basic pet CPR techniques as well as basic first aid. These non-certification courses provide students with multiple ways to perform pet CPR at an affordable cost, in about 2 hours. I am a Usui Ryoho Reiki Master and Animal Reiki Practitioner, working specifically with animals. I offer non-invasive, holistic energy work to all animals. What started out as a simple dog walking service quickly grew and evolved into a very popular concierge level pet services company, specializing in upscale in-home pet sitting for very spoiled pets. Pet sitting and dog walking led me to a great deal of professional education, training and hands on learning and experiences. I have spent years professionally studying and training in all things canine, including anatomy, physiology, pathology and behavior. The more I learned about pet health and wellness I realized that there are a LOT more treatments and techniques available than just traditional veterinary medicine! I believe that our pets can benefit from a more holistic approach to their health and wellness. This means I look at the whole animal when considering what approach to take in their healing, not just their current symptoms. This includes health history, current living environment, exercise and diet. My goal is to incorporate more natural treatments and remedies to achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Think of it as a preventative approach to your pet's health and wellness. From the food they eat to their daily exercise and activities, even small changes can make a big impact. I focus on natural and holistic options that are non-invasive and less stressful than some traditional medicine techniques. I am not a veterinarian and do not diagnose, treat or prescribe for any animal medical conditions. However many of the holistic, non-invasive services that I provide work extremely well in conjunction with many veterinary treatment plans.

Spring is here! 🌺 🌞 ☔️ 🌈

I don’t know about anyone else but this winter was hard on my body, mind and soul! I personally went through many ups and downs, changes in my personal and professional life and experienced deep and profound sadness, loss and grief.

With the return on the Sun, warmer weather and a greener, more colorful Earth, I feel like I’m finally starting to come back to life.

Spring reemergence can mean different things to different people…and animals. Dogs are inherently connected to the Earth and it’s natural rhythms, and this is what guides them through the seasons. So if you feel like you are “waking up” and feeling more alive right now, there’s an excellent chance your pets feel the same way. 💜

Enjoy some photos of nature, a colorful Earth and things that just make me feel happy and alive.

❓What do you wish you had known about dogs before they came into your life or home? What piece of information about life with dogs would have made your life easier before bringing them home?

This can be anything, with no right or wrong answers! After spending years with dogs, most of us have learned a lot. Many of these things we learned on our own through time and experience. Some things are amazing and full of joy; others are sad and difficult to navigate. This could be anything from puppies to seniors, food, medicine, illness, disease, birth, death, behavior, grooming, potty training, obedience, money or expenses, bonding, etc.

I’d like to hear from as many people as possible, from as many different locations as possible!

DO YOU HAVE A SENIOR DOG?

Seniors are probably my favorite dogs to work with! (I love my old men and old ladies!)

Massage is such a game changer for seniors, it really is a secret ingredient for a happy healthy older dog.

Aging dogs often experience limited or altered mobility. Examples are walking slower than they used to, going up or down stairs has become more difficult, difficulty jumping up onto the couch or off of it. Another big one is that they start to struggle with sitting down and more noticeably trying to stand up (it takes them a lot longer and they are clearly focusing/trying really hard).

Many seniors I work with see improvements with these issues after a few sessions, sometimes even just one session! I am constantly told amazing stories about seniors jumping onto the bed or couch again, siting and standing easier and simply noticing that they are walking more easily.

Massage is also really really wonderful for seniors because it is drug free, no prescriptions or injections! It will not interfere with any medications they are currently taking. No nasty side effects.

Massage is also just plain relaxing and enjoyable for seniors! It is an ideal way to spoil your older dog without extra calories. 😉

DO YOU HAVE A DOG RECOVERING FROM AN INJURY?

Massage can be hugely beneficial in assisting with recovery of injuries including:

Sprains/Strains
Partial/Full muscle, tendon, ligament tears
Surgeries
Pulled or overused muscles
Broken bones
General lameness including change in gait or posture

Massage offers increased blood flow/circulation, stimulates lymphatic fluid movement and drainage as well as increased endorphins or the body’s “natural feel good drugs”. All of these things can speed up healing times and provide pain relief.

In addition, non-invasive bodywork tools such as red light and PEMF offer an extra boost of healing!

Hi! My name is Stacy and I live in Urbandale, Iowa with my handsome husband, Steve. We are both huge animal lovers (except for snakes and spiders, that’s where I draw the line!) We have one dog, Zeus, (the ‘Z’ of BZ) and one angel dog, Bugsey, (the ‘B’ of BZ), who crossed the Rainbow Bridge on November 21st, 2020.

For years I’ve been that person my friends call when they need someone to watch their pets while they’re on vacation or check in on them while they’re working late. I really love knowing that they trust me completely to take care of their furry family member. And I REALLY love the opportunity to spend time with their fur kids! In 2018 I turned my love of helping my friends and their pets into a business that benefits others. I can honestly say that I Love My Job!

WHAT DOES BZPC DO?

I focus on providing customized experiences for each pet, designed to give them what they need and what works best for their families. No pet falls into a black or white category; together we create a service catered to your pet. All services offered are designed around your pet to create the right fit for your family. I don’t have set business hours and always try to stay as flexible as possible to work around your schedule. I work with dogs AND cats as well as a few other furry and feathered friends!

PET SITTING / HOUSE SITTING

Allowing your pet to stay in their home while you’re away is so beneficial to their health and well being! Especially if your have older or senior pets, or pets with medical conditions. I offer in-home pet sitting / house sitting for those who need someone to take care of their pets while they are away. We can decide together what works best; you may need someone to stay at your home with your pet overnight or you just want someone to check on them a few times a day for food and water, potty breaks and some love and attention. I also ensure your home is taken care of by bringing in the mail, signing for packages, taking out the trash, watering the plants, etc. Your home remains clean and tidy while having someone there throughout the day and night to make sure your home is safe and secure.

DOG WALKS and CHECK-INS

I offer dog walks ranging from 30 - 90 minutes for well behaved dogs under 35 lbs. Dogs over 35 lbs. are worked with on a case by case basis to ensure the safety of the dog and myself. Some dogs only need to be let outside for a shorter potty break, typically during the day while you are at work or late afternoon/evening if you work late, have children’s school events, etc. Check-ins run 30 minutes or less.

I make every attempt to be as accommodating to our clients as possible! I work around your schedule and am here to make your life easier. My clients expect a certain level of service, quality and reliability that other business just cannot offer.
