Do you love taking care of animals? If you have a passion for dogs and cats and want to work directly with them, join the caring team at Action For Animals Humane Society's shelter located at 386 State Route 217 in Latrobe PA (www.afashelter.org). There are full-time and part-time kennel attendant positions available that need to be filled immediately due to the summer shelter staff leaving their positions.
Action For Animals is a 501c3 no-kill, non-profit, non-government funded shelter that keeps animals free from unwanted euthanasia. We rescue and provide care for abused, neglected, and stray dogs and cats until loving furever homes are found. Currently the AFA shelter has over 150 rescued animals waiting to be adopted.
Job Description:
🐶Full time (9 am to 4:30 pm - 35 to 40 hours per week)
🐱Part-Time (9 am to 4:30 pm - 20 hours)
🐾Pay rate - $12.50 per hour
*Must be 18 years or older to apply and love working with animals of all sizes
*Will clean all animal kennels, bathe, and walk dogs on a daily basis
*Must be able to work outside in all types of weather
*Physically able to lift 50+ lbs., help with laundry, and trash removal
*Socialize/rehabilitate the animals into their furever homes
