Throwback Thursday!
Meet Harry, our clinic’s very first office cat and a true gentleman. 🐾
Harry came to us through a local community cat caretaker who had been looking after him on the streets. She quickly recognized his sweet and special personality and asked if we could give him the VIP treatment—vaccinations, microchipping, FeLV/FIV testing, and neutering.
When his test results came back positive for both feline leukemia and FIV, we knew outdoor life would be too risky for him. So, we made a decision that changed all of our lives—Harry stayed with us and became part of the clinic family.
He quickly found his calling, quietly watching over dogs as they recovered from surgery, often sitting nearby as they slept. Harry also made himself at home in the front office, curling up at the feet of our staff and welcoming visitors with a calming presence, especially those dropping off their cats for surgery. It’s as if he wanted them to know everything would be just fine.
In 2016, Harry’s health began to decline, and he crossed the rainbow bridge. We still feel his presence every day, and we honor him with a plaque in the cat lobby—so his memory lives on.
