This morning, we enjoyed an unstructured relaxing walk to River Park with Sarah and Ruby. During our time there, the dogs were given the freedom to enjoy nature with sights and smells, walking and taking water breaks. The park was quiet and offers plenty of shade. Helena seems to play a positive and relaxing role in enhancing the confidence of more timid-shy dogs. The girls met about a month ago at Lettuce Lake Park for a more structured working walk and they were great together.

Lily had a great puppy session working on leash-work skills, but mostly recall out on a walk in her neighborhood. If your puppy is nervous or wants to chase vehicles, nip it in the bud right away. Lily was awesome! 🥰

Today was Nyx's 1st puppy session. During our consultation last week, I asked about her interactions with other dogs, as socialization is a crucial aspect that requires attention. I typically advise clients to find canine companions in their neighborhood for walks, allowing the dogs to familiarize themselves with each other's scents, trails, and potty areas.

So when I arrived, Nyx was calm, she didn't charge me nor jump on me. The dad said he got her outside to burn off some energy and they also met a neighbors dog for a playdate. Haaahaaa Nyx was tooo tired and preferred to nap.

Cosmo is offering some great responses during our training sessions. We're working on Place with impulse control and time duration here. This is our first time practicing this command and he did a great job! Especially for a 1yr old

Scotch was already looking for a break by 10:00am, but we're just getting started dude. Being under a year old, the sky's the limit for this young one, he's going to be a big boy!

Please welcome Nyx to CWAGA. She was given a birthdate of Jan 1st 2026, so she's just a puppy. I wasn't ready to share her yet, but as I am sending her new dad all of our training information, I feel the need to share her story.

Thank you to Healy Pack Rescue for taking in this litter. They are on the east coast of FL. Nyx and her four siblings were found in a box, dumped. Not even going there about their mom. I am guessing that they were found in the Redlands. It has been a horrific dumping ground for over 25 years. I will never understand how people can be so cruel and heartless!

Nyx is super smart! She is a mix of German Shepherd and Belgian Malinois, and she will make a wonderful pet and with a purpose 💕

Last week was our 1st session and I needed to stay in the next room to walk mom through a few things. Why, because of Maddie's reactivity. Today was session #2, and the third time I was in thier home.

OMG....OMG....OMG!

Look at Maddy! When I walked in, she had her harness and leash on. She wasn't barking or reacting towards me, so I ask the mom to let her approach me. Loose leash, no tension. Maddie sniffed me and jumped up on my legs. She wasn't afraid! She remembered me and wanted to interact. I ask them to remove her leash. I could touch her. I could rub her under her chin. I could move my feet. Maddie has been with her new family for only 6 weeks now.
I lost count on how many times I said Oh My Gosh! This was a big deal!
