🐾🌍 Happy International Cat Day! 🌍🐾

Cats have a special way of making a house feel like a home… from the dramatic zoomies at 3 AM to the slow, judgmental blinks when you dare to sit in “their” chair, cats have mastered the art of keeping us humble and in love with them.

Today’s the perfect excuse to give them a few extra chin scratches, sneak them an extra treat, and maybe let them take that prime spot on the couch (just this once).

📸 Drop your cat’s best “I run this house” photo in the comments. We want to see our local kings and queens!

✨ And while you’re at it, make sure your royal highness is up to date on their wellness exam. A healthy cat is a happy (and still sassy) cat. Call us at (559) 688-0631

🐾 Dog of the Week: Ciara 💜100% Pure Joy!

If you're looking for a dog who LOVES to play catch, Ciara is your girl! She’s a pro at fetch, obsessed with her tennis balls, and can’t get enough of the pool or a good water hose splash. 💦

At 2 years old and 51 lbs, Ciara is the perfect mix of playful energy and sweet affection. She knows how to sit on command and absolutely shines at adoption events — she’s met tons of people and other dogs and done amazing every time!

While Ciara is very dog friendly, she does resource guard her toys, so she would thrive as the only dog in the home or with dogs who aren't interested in toys. A breed-savvy owner would be a great match for her playful and spirited personality.

She’s silly, loving, and just SO much fun to be around. Come meet this beautiful, joyful girl — she might just be your perfect match! 💕

🟣 Cancer Warriors: Athena, Chugginton & Jagger 🟣

We want to recognize three of our incredible patients—Athena, Chugginton, and Jagger—all currently receiving Torigen immunotherapy to treat soft tissue sarcomas (STS).

🐾 Athena was diagnosed with a Grade 1 STS. Her family chose a limb-sparing approach: surgery to remove the tumor followed by injectable autologous vaccine therapy.

🐾 Chugginton faced a more aggressive Grade 2 tumor, which was largely non-resectable. We removed what we could and followed up with the same personalized vaccine protocol.

🐾 Jagger also had a Grade 1 tumor, but we were able to fully excise it during surgery. He’s now receiving Torigen injections made in-house to help prevent recurrence and keep that cancer in check!

Torigen therapy is a form of personalized cancer care—it uses a pet’s own tumor tissue to create a vaccine that trains the immune system to detect and fight off remaining cancer cells.

💉 We're proud to compound these immunotherapy injections right here at Cross Street, giving our patients timely, individualized care when they need it most.

Not every case is a candidate for traditional treatments like chemo or amputation—but options like this are helping us write new stories for pets with cancer.

📣 Curious about immunotherapy or cancer treatment options? Let’s talk—your pet’s care plan can be as unique as they are.

Meet Scout.

This sweet little guy came in not feeling so great, and after some vomiting and a suspicious amount of drool, we knew something was up.

We started with an X-ray, but the first view did not tell us the whole story. So, we took a few more angles and that’s when we saw it:

Scout had swallowed a “kiss me” Croc charm. 🫠 We couldn’t make this up if we tried.

It’s a great reminder that one X-ray view isn’t always enough. When pets swallow something they shouldn’t, it often takes multiple views to spot it.

Scout’s feeling much better now and yes, he got plenty of kisses from the team once he was back to himself. Just… the kind that don’t go through the digestive tract. 😅💋

🐾 If your pet seems off, vomiting, drooling, or acting out of sorts, do not wait. Sometimes what’s bothering them is small, weird, and hiding in plain sight.

📞 Call us at (559) 688-0631 to schedule a visit.

🐾🎉 National Kitten Day is Here! 🎉🐾

Warning: Cuteness levels may be off the charts today. Proceed with snuggles. 🐱💥

Whether they're climbing curtains, pouncing on invisible enemies, or just sleeping like furry croissants—kittens have a magical way of stealing hearts and turning houses into playgrounds.

💡 Pro Tip: Kittenhood is the time to build healthy habits! Schedule their first check-ups, vaccines, deworming, and flea prevention early. It sets them up for a long, happy life (and fewer surprise vet visits later 😉).

📸 Drop a photo of your tiny tiger in the comments—we won’t paws until we see every one of them!
