Spend a wonderful, if a bit warm, weekend at the KarMik Acres recognized Working Equitiation show at the beautiful Beyond Stable Farm, LLC in Woodstock, IL. I had an opportunity to shadow a USA Working Equitation S judge Rebecca L Algar both days, and I very much appreciate Rebecca generously sharing her knowledge and her unflagging willingness to answer my numerous questions.
Karen (who was TDing) and Mike (who served as a show manager, obstacle wrangler, DJ, and many other roles) always put on very well-run shows, allowing the riders to focus on their performance. It was incredible to witness the army of volunteers pulling together to make the event possible. It was a pleasure seeing familiar faces and meeting new ones - Janita, it was a pleasure meeting you and spending the weekend at the judge's booth alongside you!
Thank you Rebacca and KarMik Acres for allowing me to have this educational experience.
Congratulations to all the riders, regardless of their placings - just making it to the arena to show your horse in this amazing sport is a huge accomplishment.

I am very disappointed to have to cancel the upcoming Oklahoma clinic. Unfortunately, I have a pretty severe case of laryngitis and simply am unable to speak/teach. I am frustrated as I was very much looking forward to catching up with my Oklahoma friends and students. That's a wrap for an amazing weekend of Working Equitation at the Cherry Tree Farm in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I only took some pictures on the last day and completely missed the last group of 3 riders, hopefully, others will share pictures. A wonderful mix of riders of various backgrounds, horses of diverse breeds, and new students as well as those coming back. I am always so inspired by the riders' trust in me, their open minds, and the profound changes they make within a clinic. Thank you for the wonderful farm owners and to the clinic-organizer extraordinaire Kelly Torres . For the first time in my teaching career I lost my voice during a clinic, but, thankfully, was able to finish pretty much whispering into my voice amplifier.

Great start to the Albuquerque clinic. New Mexico is breathtakingly beautiful in a severe kind of way. Great lessons yesterday followed by a dinner with friends. Onto Working Equitation clinic - Dressage day today.
