Ohana Pet Care & Counseling I began this fun, furry journey in 2012 when I started pet sitting for friends while living on Maui. You can feel safe with your pets being left in our care.

Ohana Pet Care & Counseling is a woman-owned & run, local, independent, & Fear Free Certified pet care & pet caregiver counseling company at the intersection of pet & people wellbeing. Since returning to Louisville in 2014, I officially started my own pet sitting, dog walking, and medical care services for my furry friends in the Bluegrass. We are small, independent, local business who feel like o

Handwritten from the heart all the way down through the fingers. If you see this out in the wild, that’s an Ohana PWA wearing it! Give us a wave! But don’t excite the dog lol. Thank you. 😅🙏

Merle (it’s weird to call her that since she’s my mom, but that’s her name) is one of Ohana’s on-call Pet Wellness Advocates. She’s been taking care of pets for *clears throat* over 70 years. If you have wee little dogs like Miss Jolene here, a slow-paced couch potato, or a kitty (or two or three, let’s be honest), she’s your lady! She’s been badgering me about wanting to see more pets, so let’s get her some more senior-friendly pets to spend time with! If you are a pet parent in Louisville, you can learn more about us, register as a new client at www.ohanapets.net.

Nail trims can look like this. Some cats (one of mine as a matter of fact) love going to the vet and seeing their veterinary friends, but some get overly stressed by the whole process of being transported from their home to the vet and back. For those kitties, getting their nails trimmed at home could also be not so fun, but also less stressful than being in a carrier and getting in the car and then being in a place where there are lots of unfamiliar scents and possibly a dog barking. And then there are those kitties who will lay in your lap while sitting on the balcony and let you trim each little nail with kisses and scritches in between. That was today’s visit with Miss Maisie. 😻
