Asphalt can get very hot and burn paws. Consider using booties or walking on grass.
A simple test is to place your hand on the surface for 7 seconds; if it's too hot for your hand, it's too hot for your dog's paws. Regular paw pad conditioning can also help protect yours dogs paws from the elements!
