One of our favorite people, whom we met 3 years ago at the Allegan County fair as our neighboring Vendor, is a Pampered Chef Consultant and has generously offered to throw us a “Party” and donate all of her commissions to our fund!

Seriously, we wouldn’t be able to survive the brutal “Fair week” (a 9 day event) without Angel by our side! She opens our booth for us every morning of the fair and watches it for us until we finish our morning chores with the animals and can be there ourselves, and she is always there if we have an emergency with the rescue and have to leave our booth early or run back to the facility. She is a big part of why our Fair Booth does so well every year ❤️🐾

Previously a Paparazzi Jewelry consultant (which you likely have seen next to us at the fair the past 3yrs)- Angel has now switched gears into the cooking world, and she wants to kick off this new adventure of hers to help us!

Okay now that the gang is all settled in… Meet the newest intakes of FTSOBH!

If you guessed 8 on our last post, you were right! (We replied to who guessed correctly first and won the sticker ✨)

These boys are all looking alittle scraggly, alittle thin, and they desperately need their hooves trimmed and coats brushed out, but they are in MUCH better condition now than they were when our partner shelter friends took them in a few months ago! For now, they are in our quarantine pen here checking out their new temporary surroundings!

We have decided that 2 of them will likely be staying and joining our herd here, but the others will be looking for new homes, and honestly- If the right home is ready for them this week, I don’t see why they couldn’t be adopted ASAP!

✨📣 W**D EATERS FOR ADOPTION! 📣✨

They are all Fixed, up to date on their vaccines, and just tested negative for CL (among other things), they will also be microchipped prior to adoption.

We are looking for PET ONLY homes and you MUST have adequate shelter and fencing for them (we will be asking for pictures of your set up)

The 4, 8 month old boys are very skittish of people unless treats are involved. We believe they are Boer/Nigerian Dwarf Mixes.

The 2, 4.5 month old boys are very sweet and more social. We believe these may be full Boers.

Their adoption fee’s will be 75 doll-hairs.

🐾🤠Today we traded in our leashes for lassos! 🤠🐾

Just kidding- we need all of our leashes 😅, but we did trade 4 puppies and their mom for a group of goats!

Our friends over at St.Clair County Animal control (3hrs away) needed some help getting some goats into good homes, and we had the “Semi-Feral” puppies and their momma Eloise, who needed a bit more one on one socialization work:
They have a bigger volunteer team and we have a large set up for goats- A Win Win!

One problem… neither of our organizations have a livestock trailer, and our rescue van has been out of commission for a few months due to blown turbos (a problem that we are ignoring for now- Turbos are expensive) FEAR NOT- where there is a will, there is a way…. A Dodge Magnum (with no interior) and some fence panels should do the trick!

All of these goats will be available for adoption through our organization after they settle in a bit. They are all fixed males that have tested negative for all the goat diseases and things. We will post them individually with pictures once they are ready for homes!

✨The first person to accurately guess how many Goats we picked up today gets a rescue sticker mailed to them!

We have 7 kitties that still need sponsors to cover their spay/neuter surgeries this week! Our vet had a few extra openings- so we were able to squeeze in a few more kittens, which highly benefits their adoptability status- buttttt it’s a big vet expense on our end!

🐾🚨PUPPY FOSTERS NEEDED! 🚨🐾

We have 4, 4 month old puppies that need to find foster homes by the end of this weekend so that we can do some deep cleaning and remodeling of the “puppy room” here.

Ideally we need “long term” fosters that can commit to 1-3 months depending on the puppies individually needs/socialization levels.

We will supply everything needed! A Crate, Food, toys, collars, leashes, etc. We also cover all medical costs!

The best foster homes for these puppies would include Cats, other Dogs, and kids that are used to being around dogs. However, all foster offers will be considered to hopefully get these puppies out of shelter life! *These puppies are nervous, and will need all the basic training/socializing.*

*We do need our fosters to be within 45mins of our facility, located in Fennville*
