Llamas forage on non-grass herbs and local grasses. They can be pesky when it comes time to feeding on shrubs, trees, and will even enjoy your garden flowers and vines at your expense. Make sure your animal is not overfeeding. This can be a real problem and lead to fat llamas. Overfeeding creates lack of ambition in the animal and lessens performance in the packing season.

Cattle that are healthy as a result of good nutrition and proper water consumption tend to avoid disease and sickness. Proper minerals and proper water consumption are required for a healthy immune system. The ability for cattle to absorb minerals and nutrients is greatly enhanced with proper hydration. Sickness and disease are not encouraged with good water nutrition.

Most options available for automatic drinkers either use electricity or use stagnant standing water in their systems. You wouldn’t want to drink from standing water and neither do your horses. The Bar-Bar-A does not use electricity or have standing water.
