Oh no a sport dog getting live bites at a movie set! 😱🤯 AKA Creature killing it on set.

I love it when people say “sport dogs can’t be real dogs.” Like really? Just because civilians can’t go getting live bites on the streets like a K9 handler in a department doesn’t mean all trainers train differently.

For me personally I train my personal dogs as Civil Police Oriented Dogs that do sport for fun to test my personal training and to fulfill the dogs desire and needs.

In this scene I was called up during a lesson by a buddy to get my dog out at a movie set to replace a dog that was tired. They told me they had everything I needed they just needed a solid dog. So I took creature and infidel just in case.
What I didn’t know is they just had a puppy sleeve that was think for the bites. I ended up having nothing but a gauntlet and a leather belt that we ended up cutting and taping around the guys arm and that puppy sleeve as a buffer on top. We made it the best we could and to be honest the guy took it like a champ and was about to do another one until he almost passed out and then we cut he’s sleeve open and he was pouring blood. Ended up having to tourniquet him and send him to the ER.

It was amazing seeing her work a picture she’s never seen before handled by someone she’s never been handled by and doing exactly what the Movie Director wanted.

We can’t wait to go to the premier and when we get the go ahead to release the movies details we will be sure to let you know. Until then enjoy this clip and photos!

Joe sent me a photo of a scoreboard at a trial he judged 3 years ago to give props on doing so well in the ones that trial. I didn’t place or get trophies due to handler error but it made me smile to remember myself being a new handler and trying to go out to trials all over and see what my dogs were capable of.
I loved being able to enjoy the sport with them and learn all I can from other trainers and judges in their critiques. Every trial whether it was a pass or fail I took time to learn from my failures or others and also remember what works to better myself with my dogs. I’ve been so thankful with the support in PSA and this community as a competitor of both IGP and PSA both have been welcoming but not as much as the family I’ve created in PSA.

I love being able to pass down any knowledge I’ve gained along the way. As my success is nothing without being able to help others be successful as well.

Man, I’ve missed the ones and can’t wait to compete in them later again with the two other dogs I have up and coming.
Until then here’s some scores that I had over the season. Always take your time to learn how to be better handler with a happy dog.
