KPR is getting MANY requests for pugs, young, old, duos and some that need medical attention.

If you want to help by fostering PLEASE see our website at www.kentuckianapugs.com and we can get you started. As a foster home you provide love and a soft landing, KPR will cover all vetting. It’s a win - win.

We get a lot of requests for seniors that just need love. If you have older family members who are looking for a snuggle pug we can help!

We can only save pugs IF we have a 🏠 home for them, we dont have a facility. We know shelters are overcrowded and not good environment for pugs.

🌸 Finley Update 🌸
Our little fighter has been with KPR for a week today, and she’s already starting to come out of her shell. Despite all of her challenges, she’s loving this cozy new lease on life. 💕
Once she gets her weight up and is strong enough, we’ll be taking her to an ortho specialist to repair her hip/femur. Until then, she’ll be soaking up all the snuggles she can get. 🐾✨
Her new best friend? Lilah! 🥰 I always find the two of them curled up together in their cozy little nest.
Here’s to more healing, love, and cuddles for sweet Finley. 💖

Sweet Finley Update 💜

Finley had a big adventure today, including meeting Dr. Carla for the first time. She received a full work-up so we can get her on the right track. Her bloodwork came back just as expected—showing that while she has some challenges, she is stable. Her front leg wound is also healing well.

The biggest surprise came when her foster mom mentioned noticing a limp in one of her back legs. An X-ray revealed that Finley has a broken femoral head. This means that, in addition to needing lots of good groceries to put some weight on, she’ll also be heading to a specialist in Indy for an FHO consult and surgery. A few pelvis fractures were also noticed but are already healing.

Despite everything she’s been through in her first year of life, Finley continues to be the sweetest, most gracious girl. We are heartbroken to know how much she has endured, but grateful that she is now safe and on the road to recovery. 💕

She has already captured so many hearts, and we’ll continue to share updates as her healing journey unfolds.

✨ Finley’s First 24 Hours ✨

Just 24 hours ago, Finley’s future was uncertain. She came to us painfully thin and starved, and injuries all over her frail body. We feared what struggles she might have with food or trust. But this sweet girl continues to amaze us. 💕

She hasn’t missed a single bite of her four little meals a day, and despite her past, she shows no food aggression at all—only gratitude. She loves her snuggles (especially with a heated blanket) and is fitting right in with her new foster family.

It breaks our hearts to think someone once walked away from her when she needed them most. But thanks to your generosity—through donations and wishlist gifts—Finley is safe, loved, and finally getting the care she deserves. 🐾💖

Help Feed Finley! This 1 year old Boston had been missing for months and was finally found a few days ago. She’s been living on the streets enduring the brutal heat and excessive rain….clearly starving… has sores on her body, a gash on her side…and is beyond sad and exhausted. KPR welcomes her with open arms and we hope you will too! Safe in our Foster home she’s had a bath and is all comfy cozy in her blanket. She will need to relearn how to eat…how to play…how to trust and how to accept love again. Finley is currently on medical hold as we get her Vet care and some groceries in her tummy! If you would like to donate to help with the cost of Finley’s care please know how grateful we would be!
