Our friends over at DreamPower Horsemanship are looking for some donations to keep their amazing horses well fed for summer. 💕

Hello Facebook friends, the DreamPower hay barn is empty! It’s time for the Summer Hay Drive! Our goal is to raise $9600 by July 15, so we can purchase 384 bales of hay and completely fill the hay barn! We really need your help this summer. Last night didn’t go as planned. One step forward, a thousand steps back with this mare. I could hear the whispers from the stands—“Can’t believe she trains,” “She shouldn’t be teaching,” “She’s terrible”—and the gasps when my horse wouldn’t listen hit deeper than I expected.

The truth? I’ve worked so hard. But sometimes, despite all the effort, it’s just not your time. And that’s okay. She’s not ready yet. We’re not ready yet.

So I’m reminding myself to slow down, breathe, and “hold my horses”—literally and figuratively. Patience is part of the process, and I’m doing my best to lean into it.

We’re all learning. We’re all growing. And maybe we could all stand to “hold our horses” (and judgement) once in a while. 🤍
