Redwood Coonhounds is located in the beautiful Northern California mountains. Hunting with hounds has been in my family for many generations. Most of our time is spent with the hounds in the woods. Above all is our passion for running hounds and letting them do what they were bred to do. Our hounds are mostly ran on Black Bear, Lion (where legal), Bobcat, Hogs, Raccoon, and Grey Fox. They've been

successful in just about any conditions, in any terrain, on whatever game they've been put on. We prefer a well rounded hound - one that's naturally smart, fast, and will hold up to hard hunting, and the rigors of catching big game - hounds that are not only tough and sound physically, but mentally as well. Hounds with enough heart, drive, and grit to consistently get the job done. We've also been fortunate enough to have hounds that we can enjoy Bench Showing, Water Racing, Field Trailing, and Nite Hunting at local UKC & Open Events.

NORTHERN CALIFORNIA - I'm casually looking to find Diamond her retirement home. If you or someone you know is looking for a sunning yard hippo - she's the one. She turns 9 in a few days. While she still hunts, and loves to hunt, she's slower, and just as happy to stay home and sleep and eat. Healthy as a horse, about her only struggle is keeping a slim waist line. This dog does not bark, ever, at anything at home/kennel/crate. Doesn't need a leash or even an ecollar, doesn't run off or wander off. Doesn't try to get out of anything. 3-4ft fence is fine. Doesn't jump, climb, dig, push, chew anything to get out. Completely handles with minimal voice commands. I've had this dog her whole life and most people have never seen or heard of her. She's that chill. Child, all dogs, and small animal safe.

Echo went into labor last Sunday evening. Unfortunately as the hours passed it became evident there was an issue. She ended up needing an emergency C-section. We lost all the puppies but one. This handsome guy. He also has had quite the up and down struggle this week. I'm sorry to everyone who was interested in a puppy. I'm heartbroken how everything played out. Echo's only litter and my last planned litter resulted in the absolute worst experience I've had in over 20 years of breeding. But we'll move into the next chapter of life now. And I will hopefully have many years of hunting behind this guy ahead.
