You can trust animals. That's why we love our creatures--big and small. Poochie Smoochies offers more than your typical pet sitting experience. It's about honoring the essence and spirit of the animals we have the privilege of caring for.
When we bring out the best in our pets, they bring out the best in us. Along with keen observation, making for the ultimate play, exercise, and nutritional experience--we attentively meet your pets’ needs. We put our hearts into it. After all, that's what they deserve. Sometimes, that means just sitting quietly with them, and holding paws.
Come home to a clean dog...or cat...or guinea pig...or fish... yeah that's funny! We offer a kind and gentle grooming experience, with organic shampoo & conditioner, tooth brushing with gum massage, ear cleanse, and nail filing. We follow it up with an Ayurvedic body message (based on infant massage techniques), followed by a cool-air dry with soft brushing. Modest scissor cutting is optional.
At Poochie Smoochies we love your animals as if they were our own. Occasionally, that means giving a pooch a smooch. And yes. We love grumpy cats too!

Sometimes love just bounds into your life unexpectedly...like Tucker, our Golden Retreiver rescue...

He must have done something bad. At 3 months old he was not allowed back into the house of his North Carolina mountain home. His owner said exasperated, “He’s just too much dog for us.” Too big for the crate he arrived in, I drove off with him in my car--bouncing around in the front seat, knocking the car out of gear. And as I drove, I prayed. “God, please let me live.”

Tucker. He’s the dog my son always wanted. And he got him on his 12th birthday. Tucker Buster. He’s the spirit behind all things poochie smoochie. Unequivocally...the best dog ever.
