Precious!

This firefighter saved this dog from her burning home. He carried her out of the house and into her front yard, then he returned to fight the fire. When he finally got done putting the fire out, he sat down to catch his breath and rest.

A photographer noticed the dog in the yard watching the firefighter. There were other firefighters on the scene that day, but she was watching him. He saw the dog walk straight toward the man and wondered what she was going to do. As he raised his camera, she came up to the tired firefighter, who had saved her life and kissed him just as the photographer snapped this photograph.

NEW ARRIVAL!
Larry is a six month old, male, Doberman Pinscher. He is neutered, up to date on shots and LOVES to play. He is a beautiful black and tan, and has a snuggly, velcro personality, much like the breed characteristics. His ears are natural and his tail is docked. Larry has pretty big paws so we can only imagine he will be a big boy. Dobermans fill out just after two years of age so he's got a lot of growing up to do. He is young, has energy, will need lots of exercise and walks in addition to basic obedience training.

If you would like to meet Larry please fill out our adoption application first and then give us a call at 216-664-9660 to set up the meet and greet.

We are currently seeking a foster home for Larry. If you are interested in fostering please contact us at [email protected] or download our foster application on our website.

Please CROSSPOST...
Transport is for one Dobe boy that ended up in a rural shelter and life did not look very promising. He will be transported from a boarding facility in SC to an approved Dobe rescue in Ohio.

He really needs to move this weekend, as he has been in jail and then boarding for almost a month now. He wants freedom!

Please if you can drive, contact Kim Massey [email protected] or Ava [email protected] and help us move this boy to a better life!

Thank you....

This old guy, named Houston, was chosen to join the SHM family by founder, Becca Riker. He was transported to Cleveland from a horrible hoarding situation in Binghamton, NY. At the home 16 dogs were found, 3 dead, and now all placed thanks to Secondhand Mutts for taking in the last one - this senior Doberman. Houston is currently doing very well with the Riker Doberman pack while we find a quieter foster or better yet forever home for him. He will be visiting Gateway Animal Clinic this week for a full exam.

A fireman just saved this dog from a fire in her house, rescuing her by carrying her out of the house into her front yard, while he continued to fight the fire. A photographer noticed this red Doberman in the distance looking at the fireman.
