So here is the results 2 weeks after our Equine Makeover transformation. With a balanced trim and some shoes. Again, no drugs, no hill work, no supplements no chiropractor no massage/body work. He has been lightly ridden on flat ground (not much due to bad weather). Do you see anything different? :)

Loading made easy. Our Foxy filly memory from 3 years ago. Notice that even though this filly almost loads herself Joe does not let go or throw the rope over her back just in case she changes her mind. The last thing you want is to have your horse refuse or back off and you do not have control of it and it gets away and could possibly get injured. Safety first. 🙂

PPE NEWS!!
Check out our 2 new project horses. We currently have them in our training/maintenance program. The bay is a quarter/paint cross 4 yr old gelding and the sorrel is a 12 yr old TWH gelding. These 2 horses will be featured in our upcoming videos on training, maintenance and other equine topics. They are totally different breeds and should be very interesting to watch as they move through our program. These horses will be available to approved homes in the spring.

Are you a tailgator? Do you tail gate on the trail? Do you allow your horse to follow too closely? Watch this video to see how a little distraction (like me making a video) allowed me to put my horse and myself in a dangerous position. I knew this mare was unconfident and would kick out. I made a huge effort to stay way off of her and out of the "kick zone" but I got distracted just for a moment. Imagine what could happen if I did not have control of my horse and allowed her to tail gate on this horse throughout the day. What if I had no control and allowed my horse to run up this horses rear over and over? More than likely one of us would have been hurt. Many riders seem to depend on the horse in front of them to stop or control their horse. As a responsible trail rider you should maintain control over your horse at all times. Not having control can get you, your horse or someone else injured. Don't be a Tailgator. We can help you learn to keep you and your horse safe on the trail at one of our many horsemanship clinics.
