Taya is reminding everyone Moon Doggies is closed for family vacation Aug 9-15. We will reopen on the 16th.
Speaking of family, Taya's story of how she became part of the Moon Doggies family is one of my favorites. In the fall of 2022, I received a call from a local couple who had found a female Husky nearby. They asked if I had a chip reader and I routed them to the local vet. (Side note: I now have a chip reader if you find a lost dog). In the meantime, I connected with my network of pet caregivers to spread the word about the Husky. Jackie, former owner of Moon Doggies, had seen a post made by Taya's dad. I reached out to him, introduced myself as Kelli at Moon Doggies and gave him the information I had. Over the following 24 hours, we were able to reunite Taya with her family. Her dad's last question before we signed off was, "By the way, what is Moon Doggies?"
Taya and her siblings have been staying and playing with us ever since.
