Family owned and operated since 1945, Buckley Farms offers professional training in Reining, Working Cow Horse, and Western Pleasure. We offer training programs for your futurity and derby prospects, as well as other Open levels in NRHA, AQHA, and APHA. Buckley Farms also provides training programs for both Non-Pros and Youth. In addition to our award-winning training program, we offer a breeding

program that features our stallions Ima Tendernic and Texas Remedy.Our mares also come from the best bloodlines in the industry. The talents of Scott Buckley and Jeff Buckley are the heart of the operation. Buckley Farms is located in Anna, Texas, 20 miles north of Dallas. The training facilities include a covered arena, 47-stall barn, and over 180 acres of pasture land. We are currently offering training and full-care board only. In addition to the training facilities, Buckley Farms provides broodmare management and year-round care for both mare and foal. Cookie Monster aka Cookie

If you are looking for a safe kids horse that isn’t going to make your child wear their little legs out to get at least a walk out of, then Cookie Monster is your guy. He may be 19/20 years old but he will get up and go if you ask him to or he is happy just walking along. He is a solid play day horse and is currently being loved on by an 8 yr old little girl who has had him since she was 5. He loads in the trailer well, stands great for the farrier and lets his girl crawl all over him. She is just going in a different direction and has made the painful decision to let him

What a week we had at the SRCHA Pre-Futurity in Fort Worth! Some highs, some lows, but lots of learning experiences for young horses and young riders!

We ended it on a high with Raine Buckley Finishing 2nd in L1, 3rd in the Limited and Intermediate, & 6th in the Non-Pro Futurity on Jeff Buckley's IM Cat Woman, walking away with a chunky check! Raine had not 1 but 3 cows whistled off and had to return for her 4th and final cow. All this on what was her FIRST time piloting this spicy red filly down the fence in a competition this year!

All the Derby & Futurity horses showed well & handled the pressure of a big show like pros! Now the pressure is on to prep for the main stage at the NRCHA Snaffle Bit in October!

HURRY HURRY! Last day or so to get your horse down for Cherie!

Get your name on the list for RLT Equine (Cherie Hecht) next weekend Aug 15-17th. For those that know us you know Cherie has been working on our horses for 25+ years. She is exceptional and specializes in things like ELT or Emotional Coding Therapy, acupressure, applied kinesiology, muscle trigger release, and body structure adjustment, etc. The horses love her!
