Yesterday we said goodbye to our Disney princess kitten, Princess Leia. We told her to go find Carrie Fisher and show her that cats are BA too. Be one with the Force sweet girl. You were so very loved. 💔

A birthday to remember for so many reasons! Thank you Meaghan () and all the lovelies who showed up for me (I LOVE yall) and omg.....that CAKE by was absolutely divine! Honestly as delish as it was, the beauty alone eclipsed it all! So delicate and perfect! I've rarely if ever felt so loved!

This little gold accented planter is full of magic! Carefully cultivated although small, will become mighty!

The photo on the right is the parent plant that was taken today. These huge white blooms will continue thru around March! This is a Thanksgiving cactus so the blooms will be right on time for your family dinners.

This is a super hearty specimen that if cared for properly can be passed down for generations!

There is only ONE of these planters available at O! So Chic, however there is also a pink one in the same planter.

Okay okay I know I'm super late with this so will give it some extra time after Halloween so everyone who wants can participate.

Disputanta Animal Hospital is the best. When we first got B, the rescue had been told she was 5 or 6 years old.

Took her to see Dr. Eaton and I just happened to ask her opinion and she said maybe 2 or 3 based on her teeth.

Fast forward. We had her DNA done some time ago and found out that they had updated the site to include family so you KNOW I was all over that! My girl has FAMILY!

Not only did they update family tho, they updated her breeds profile and added the AGE profile.

Apparently B JUST turned 10 last month. She wasn't quite 3 when we got her! To have our vets opinion validated AND know that we basically have three extra years?

Priceless.

Thank you Kim Eaton for always being amazing.

It's been touch and go with our schedule this week due to Pandas kidney stone! (Ouchies)

They've rescheduled his surgery to next week so I am excited to say I'll be at Hanover Vegetable Farm this weekend.

The bad news is I won't have the trailer since (ahem) I haven't learned how to pull it 😳

Big Dogs and Bigger Dreams

How does a cat rescue person end up with a dog business? Well......

Her name is Brandi Amelia Pond Riley, and she’s a perfect princess pup. She was rescued from Beckley, West Virginia and somehow by some amazing twist of fate, after six homes and a whole ‘nother state, we were blessed enough to call her a foster pup. One that would soon be a foster fail.

She’s also a pit mix. People assumed she was a boy. Or a murderer. Or both.

She deserved to be pretty so we started making her things. Silly things. Pretty things. Things people loved and started asking about. She didn’t care for the flowers, can’t you tell? Our first trip to Carytown had us scrambling to make something gorgeous and we wound up wrapping a piece of fabric around her collar and pinning a rhinestone anchor on a bow to the fabric. She looked so stinkin cute and I think that was the day the Booftique became a seed in our heads.

Fast forward a month or so and she had a wardrobe of collar covers and we started on kerchiefs, then coats, and then we did our first craft show. There was no going back then!

Now the Booftique offers something for everyone! Our builds include furniture style elevated food bowls, unique custom beds and crate options, while we sew up a storm making amazing coats guaranteed to FIT your big dog and STAY ON (They survive the pibble roll!), kerchiefs for every dog, be they slip kerchiefs or snap kerchiefs, they’re all made to a higher standard. Our slip kerchiefs are two contrasting layers for a magnificent POP, and our snap kerchiefs are reversible and can be worn FOUR different ways!

We continue to develop new products, such as collar accessories. Our felted succulents and blingy flowers make any little girl pup feel like a diva and our bow ties? Well they’re made just like the ones you buy at the menswear stores so you get a product that is the highest quality and made to last. With simple elastic for easy on and off, well it doesn’t get much better. Unless your dog doesn’t wear a collar, and then? You can go over the top with a blinged out doggie necklace to your not so little princess.

We create hand lettered art on both woods and canvasses, as well as unique glass paintings with dog quotes to make you think, or laugh, and yes, sometimes cry.

At any given time you can find unique gift items that we find all over from vintage dog salt and pepper shakers, to christmas coffee mugs with pugs. We love creating things to make you smile and will continue to brainstorm new ideas and products. Look forward to new custom created dog tags, personalized Christmas ornaments and stockings, dog themed wreaths and well anything we can dream up for you and your doggos!
