Go Dogs! Inc. is a non-profit organization providing quality instruction in dog sports to our members and the Omaha area public.

We promote fun dog-friendly training and mutually respectful relationships between dogs and owners. Join us for classes from basic obedience to competition obedience, or dog related sports such as Agility, Flyball or Tracking.

For dogs that have a complete novice Fetch title but are interested in learning skills for Advanced and Retriever titles.

We have a few spots in some agility classes for classes starting next week. If you are starting a dog in agility, we have another section of Beginning Agility Foundations that starts this Sunday at 11:45. If you have completed that class and ready to move on (or need a refresher), we have Advanced Agility Foundations on Fridays at 6:30.

For dogs that have completed foundation classes, we have spots open in Contacts & Weaves on Tuesday at 5:15 and a Handling class for front, blind and rear crosses also on Tuesday at 7:45.

We have a new class starting Monday at 6:30 with Frisbee competitors Erin Skoog and Andre Strovers. Join us to learn the basics of playing disc with your dog, from throwing safely for your dog to upping your skills as a handler and the basic skills for disc games across several venues. Disc Dog is an exciting, fast-paced, fun sport, and the AKC can recognize titles earned in UpDog. Dogs of any breed, type, size, or shape can play and be successful, especially if they like to play fetch.

The welcome letter for the Tuesday, 5/27 Fetch Test at the Meadow at the Nebraska Humane Society was emailed this afternoon. If you registered for the test and did not receive it, please contact Mindy Begley at [email protected].

Missed the closing date and still want to test? Day of entries will be accepted, provided that the test entry limits have not been met.

In order to help you prepare for our upcoming FETCH test on May 27th at the Meadow at NHS, we will be hosting an AKC FETCH fun run at the club on Monday, May 26 starting at 7:10 p.m. The cost is $7.00 . If there is time for a second run at each level, the additional run will be $3.00 cash the day of.

This is our first attempt at this at the club and with the parking issue, we are going to have time slots for each level. We ask everyone not to arrive too early and to leave after your run. Also, when you do arrive please conserve parking places. These times are approximate. Once we have the registration , I will send out revised times . Due to the availability of daylight, we are limiting each level to six runs. If we have some levels that do not fill and need more spots for other levels, that can also be revised. So you will need to email me if you are not able to register at your desired level. You must pre-register. All levels will be offered. Thanks to Nebraska Furniture Mart, Shaw flooring, and the American Kennel Club for inviting us out to do an agility and frisbee demo today. Both dogs and handler’s had a great time!
