At My Personal Dog Trainer we understand that just like people, every dog learns differently and at it's own pace. We believe the method should fit the dog, not the dog fit the method so we use a variety of training methods based on your dogs unique personality and circumstances.

Meet Wallen(Wally)! Wally is a 20 week old pure bred Handsome Little Devil ;-) Just the cutest!! He is currently in our Fast Track Board and Train Program learning to come when called, sit stay, down stay, go to his place and walk nicely on leash. We are also taking some field trips to hone those skills. Stay tuned for progress videos!

This adorable little guy is Geo, a 19 week old Yorkiepoo(yorkie poodle cross). We worked on housebreaking, sit stays, place, walking nicely on leash, coming when called and we went on several field trips to practice our skills. Little dogs can be taught to be well mannered too! Meet both Annie and Zoey! Annie(left) is a 20 week old mini Bernadoodle and Zoey(right) is a 5 year old mini bernadoodle. Zoey graduated from my Fast Track board and train program almost 5 years ago! Her family added the lovely edition of Annie! Annie just graduated from the program and as you can see, both dogs are showing off their skills! We worked: Go to your place and settle,loose leash walking, coming when called, down stays and calling off of play. Such adorable, well-mannered little fluff balls

Kobe is a 4 year old doodle that just competed my Fast Track Board and Train program. His lovely humans are practicing ringing the doorbell and answering the door while Kobe stays calmly on place. Such a good boy!!

Sweet little Sunny is a 5 month old Golden Retriever puppy. In this video we are working on loose leash walking. 1) the side walks are icy so we are walking on a low traffic side street 2) We do super short durations of “heel” with babies. Sniffing is super important! So her reward was to go sniff after the video was done. Being able to walk nicely is a wonderful skill. Whoever, they really do need to be able to sniff and be a dog as well. Let’s give Sunny some love and hit that like button and follow to follow Sunny’s training journey.

This is not a “how to” video ;-) Here Bruce is demonstrating how we work our way through teaching go to your place when the doorbell and guests come in. We work our way up a ladder. Only moving to the nest rung when the dog is really good at the step they are on.

Here we have three puppies all practicing how to stay on their bed when the doorbell rings. We typically start them off on their bed while these events occur. We get an overwhelming history of them being in this location when the doorbell rings and when the door opens and then when people come in. We will transfer it over time to when the bell rings they will go to their bed. I think they did a fabulous job! Don't you?

The lovely Mr Finn came through my fast track board and train program at 6 1/2 months old. Finn is a Whoodle(Wheaton terrier/poodle cross) we worked on coming when called, loose leash walking, and then heavily worked on socialization in stores and getting out and about, as Finn would like to be a therapy dog when he grows up.
