May Puppy Party - We had a small group but from a puppy's point of view, we had rollicking great fun.
Playtime is not only wonderful exercise but a great socialization tool.
When we socialize with other puppies, adult dogs, and humans we become more able to accompany our human families without fear of unfamiliar elements.
The more we learn what is acceptable behavior, the easier it is to be a part of the family.

As you can see from our pictures, we puppies don't care what we look like or what our size is or what breed we are, we all play and romp and chase balls and eat treats alike.

We love our cookies but we're learning that we must do something to earn the treats ... sit or stay or come or etc. Our humans must also learn to ignore our begging ... we know it's hard because we're so cute ...woof, woof.

Some of us have become fast friends and we want to come back to the next party to learn and play.

Until then, keep up the good work.

To all mothers of all shapes, sizes, and species … thank for all you do.

Whew! Puppies reporting from our March party ... and it was a yelper, woofer, and romper!
We had a puppy brain workout!
Our ‘little gray cells’ were put to the test.
We learned how to sit, stay, come, relax, calm down, and a totally new (for some of us) be in a crate.
Most of us have already started learning our commands and a few of us have experienced crates so I’m going to tell you a little about our crate experience.
We’ve been told, by puppiess who already have their own crates, that they love their crates.
The crate:
#1 keeps us from getting into trouble while our families are away at work or school or activities and it will also keep us safe ... and, let me tell you from experience, getting into trouble as a puppy is very easy to do!
#2 The crate gives us a place that is our very own comfort zone. Our families can put in comfy blankets, favorite toys and a yummy snack.
Once our family member has taken us out for walk, play, and elimination (please be sure to do this first), most of us puppies with our own crates view it is a comforting retreat or ‘den’ and will automatically lounge in it.
**We hope you’ll never use it as a punishment because then we will reject the crate!
Other than when our families are away, we can have the door open for freedom of movement.
We’re telling you, if acclimated properly, the crate is our friend and 'yours'.
Until next time, we exhausted and educated puppies are hoping you’ll bring us to the April Parte’ on the 7th at 6:30pm.
Love and yelps
