40 days out👊

We’re about 40 days out now, and it’s starting to feel real. Yesterday I spent some time working Teddy’s right turns, then we ran through food refusal and some absences of handler. Nothing crazy… just steady reps and trying to clean up the little details before trial day sneaks up on us.

I threw in a short clip from our on-leash heeling. It’s not perfect, but you can see the direction we’re headed. Some days feel smooth, some days feel like we’re dragging a bit, but that’s kind of the fun part. You keep showing up, the dog keeps showing up, and things start to click.

If anyone else is in trial mode right now, drop a 🐾. Always cool seeing who else is grinding.

🔥 Alright y’all… over the next 45 days you’re gonna see a whole lot of Teddy and me getting ready for Ring I.

Some good reps, some ugly ones, some wins, some setbacks all of it. I’m not hiding anything.

People ask me “Why do you do this?”
Because anybody can talk about dog training… but just talking isn’t leadership.

Both the Marine Corps and Jiu-Jitsu have been staples in my life. In both of those worlds, you don’t lead by simply repeating something you read or heard, you lead by example. You show up, put your ego on the side, and grind. It can be scary because you might fail. But just remember the man in the arena.

I apply the same exact mindset to dog training.

It’s easy to stand on the sidelines and give instructions.
Real leadership is getting in the dirt, walking the same path, and proving you live the things you teach.

That’s why I train my own dog the same way I expect my clients to train theirs. You’ll see the real stuff the mistakes, the breakthroughs, the days we move forward and the days we learn the hard way. The title will be great, but the journey is what really matters. This has made my relationship with my dogs better and Im grateful for that.

Theory lives in books.
The magic happens when you blend the science and the art, and actually put hands on the dog.

Group Dog Training Lessons 🐾

Our group classes are held at Waters Edge Park, typically on Saturdays at 7 PM—intentionally set in a high-distraction environment. From joggers and kids to bikes and other dogs, these real-world variables are exactly what make the lessons so valuable.

The goal is to teach your dog how to focus, listen, and perform reliably—no matter what’s going on around them. Training in public settings like this helps your dog develop:
• Generalization – learning to follow commands outside the home
• Reliability – consistent behavior even around major distractions
• Repeatability – performing on command every time, not just when it’s easy

Each program includes 6 structured sessions and is ideal for social, people- and dog-friendly dogs. You’ll work on leash handling, engagement, public manners, and building confidence—both for you and your dog.
