🚨 PSA for Pet Parents: If your dog is afraid of fireworks… don’t wait until July 3rd.

This is your reminder: Call your veterinarian NOW. 🎆🐾

There are a variety of options to help ease your dog’s anxiety around fireworks, but they need to be discussed with your vet ahead of time. If medications are recommended, your dog may need to take them a few days prior to the stressful event in order to see full benefits of the medication or they may need to try them out and adjust dosages before the big booms begin. This is why it’s so important not to wait until last minute.

💥 Don’t wait until the night before.

Your pup will thank you for it. ❤️

Happy Wag’N’Train Wednesday from a new kid named Roger. He’s going to board for a while, so he’s trying daycare to get used to the place. This is not a requirement, but a very good idea for sure!

I’ve got a rainbow of doodles this weekend! Chocolate, tan, & white (Max, Lily, & Ozzie respectively). They’re all great!

Hey, all! My newest foster is now available through Basset & Beagle Rescue of the Heartland. She just turned 2 and she’s done with vaccines (until next year) and spay recovery.
We named her Astrid in hopes that she would become brave like Astrid from How to Train Your Dragon. She didn’t, but she’s making big progress. She needs a fenced in yard because she LOVES to run around the yard and do zoomies (and she’s a flight risk). She ideally needs another dog as well bc she loves to play and hasn’t met a dog she doesn’t like. She’s going to learn from dogs and it helps her confidence. If you’re willing to earn her trust, she’ll make a great pet!
