Troika Drafts is a 150 acre working draft horse farm located in the foothills of Western Maine. Our specialty is the training, use, and sale of the all-around family "chore horse". We adhere to sustainable practices and enjoy the forest, fields, and gardens that grow and produce exceptionally well. The last few years have seen a transition to more vegetable and flower gardens for local and CSA sal

es. Our expanding gardens are known for their "excess production" which are enjoyed by our chickens and small livestock. Current plans are for the establishment of an additional greenhouse, a move to solar, and building a shared-commercial kitchen for regional value-added processing. And as always, the horses here, their care, and our tack shop will always be our anchor. . .

Good work by all, and another reason to FENCE OFF THOSE PONDS AND WATERWAYS! Because a horse has never ventured there, doesn't mean they won't.

It was a whirlwind of a weekend! Along with three days at DAPNet Field Days I fit a new harness to a new driver and her horse and then helped another driver fit her cart and take her first drive with her wonderful Westphalian mare :) Love seeing the smiles of successful partnerships :)
