Sending peaceful healing energies to our draft horse family from Maine :(

We would like to take a moment to acknowledge an unexpected loss in our Anderson Farms family.

Sandy Taylor had been involved with the Anderson Farms Clydesdales directly and indirectly for many years. She spent a number of years working for 2S Clydesdales; and her work done in those years created a butterfly effect into our present-day Clydesdale breeding program.

Sandy always enjoyed attending the Iowa State Fair with our show crew, and was a big part of keeping things organized and flowing smoothly back in the barn. We were lucky to benefit from her years of knowledge and experience, and to be able to call her a good friend.

We will miss you, Sandy. "Happy trails to you, until we meet again".

Total photo dump here and I suspect more will follow. THANK YOU to Harrison Fire Rescue, Trippcrest Farm, High View Farm and the WMFA Western Maine Firefighters Assoc for making this training happen. 32 Horse owners and first responders completed the classroom and light practical session, with 24 first responders completing the full program! Norway Maine Fire Department and Harrison Fire & Rescue both have Large Animal Emergency Rescue equipment now as part of their response apparatus 🙂 We will keep working on training and expanding LAER Resources for the region!
Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. You have no idea how much seeing this happen with FF's, ACO's, CART teams and owners all working together 🙂

Two individuals were arrested in Bexar County, Texas, after deputies found a severely injured horse abandoned in a damaged trailer.
