We have some new Canine Good Citizens and trick dogs in the house! Let’s congratulate these hard working pups!
🐶 Beau earned his Canine Good Citizen Urban and Advanced. His owner has hopes of training Beau to be a therapy dog and the CGC track is a great start.
🐶 Teak earned her Canine Good Citizen and Trick Dog Novice.
🐶 Salem earned her Canine Good Citizen and Trick Dog Novice. Salem also has dreams of becoming a therapy dog some day and attended our Therapy Dog Test Prep workshop.

Looking for some spooky good ways to keep your pet safe on Halloween? Look no further...
Here's 3 tips to ensure your pet's safety on Halloween night.

🎃 Check that your pet has a microchip and that it’s properly registered. Dog tags with a current town or city license can help prevent a hefty fee if your dog gets loose. If you have a dog or cat that likes to bolt, install a baby gate near the front door or keep your pet in a separate room for the evening.

🎃 If you have a noise-phobic pet or a dog that’s mortal enemies with the doorbell, consider placing them in a room behind a closed door. Give them plenty of enrichment and exercise earlier in the day, then put on some music and dim the lights so they can sleep through most of the noise.

🎃 Got a puppy or an adolescent chewer? Keep decorations out of reach, and always blow out candles or other open flames when they’re not supervised.

Trout (my own dog), as well as Barn Hunt & Nose Work students Stryker and Regan were all invited to FastCAT invitationals in Wilmington, Ohio.

🏆Trout was the #1 Berger Picard for 2024, he earned his FCAT title (1,000 points in the sport), and Best of Breed Ribbon

🏆Stryker was the #3 Coton de Tulear for 2024, he also earned his FCAT!

🏆Reagan was the #4 Rat Terrier under 12" for 2024, she earned her FCAT2 (1,500 Points), best of breed ribbon AND earned TOP 5 FASTEST DOGS UNDER 12"

While we don't teach FastCAT (it's all instinct) we want to recognize our hard working students accomplishments, especially these once-in-a-lifetime events!
