Bud's Bunnies Nationally competitive Mini Rex and Polish in Wisner, Nebraska. National BOV winners! We also have black blue, and broken Polish.

We specialize in smoke pearl, sable, and otter Mini Rex, but we frequently produce wonderful blues, brokens, black, and white (REW). Check the page for what's currently ready to go. Bud's Bunnies is known for competitive buns! We have pets as well, especially in the spring.

That's a wrap!

We have enjoyed getting to know so many of you at fairs, local shows, and Convention!

Bud's Bunnies will no longer be in operation, but we hope you continue to see our breeder prefix on pedigrees for many years to come, and that you'll one day run into one of my mom's grandchildren at a show.

Thank you for your support, your friendships, and the laughs along the way. Only rabbit breeders understand the mystery of the gender fairy, or that being covered in cuts and scratches isn't a sign of a fight but only nail trimming day in the bunny barn.

Here's one last hurrah to my mom, Terry Buderus, the founder of Bud's Bunnies! Love you always, Mama Bear! It was an honor to be your business partner, but my greatest gift was to be your daughter.

Pending pickup!

Oops! I didn't get any photos of Icy during my too-brief visit to Nebraska earlier this month. My mistake could be your gain.

Bloom's Icy is a proven brood doe of the blue otter variety. She has produced MANY grand champions, including the blue BOV and BOSV winners at 2021 Convention. She is a larger lady but still well put together with phenomenal depth, especially for a lady of her age, which is five this October. She's always been a bit narrow, but this was easily bred out. She is related to Milo, and I would love to see them crossed. For this reason, she's 💲3️⃣0️⃣ solo, or just 💲1️⃣5️⃣ with him.

Sorry for the excitement that faded into nothing! The dust has settled, and it seems most of Bud's Bunnies are staying in the family, being placed with my mom's grandchildren, who will hopefully continue to enjoy showing in her honor. We have just two Mini Rex left, a broken black otter buck and a blue - Correction! blue otter! - doe. Priced to move quickly! Posting the limited info and photos of them now.

Update: The Polish are gone. I'll post the Mini Rex by Saturday, possibly tomorrow.

Holly here. I'll be offering just a few Polish and a handful of Mini Rex this week. We need them out of the bunny barn ASAP, so we can close down. We only bred a few does this spring, and my nieces and nephews will be showing the results of those breedings, so our youngest offered will be from last August's litters.

tldr: Brood stock! No show stock.

Our Story

We specialize in shaded Mini Rex and produced the Mini Rex Nationals BOV smoke pearl in 2014, 2015, and 2016. The 2017 ARBA Convention BOV smoke pearl and sable were produced in our barn as well, and we also have beautiful blues, brokens, himi’s, blacks, otters, and REWs.

Bud’s Bunnies is also proud to have produced the 2015 Polish Nationals Youth Best of Breed animal, as well as the Youth Best of Breed from that year’s Convention. We specialize in blues and blacks, and brokens in those varieties. 4-H discounts, package deals, and repeat buyer savings available. Prices range from $30 to $100 or more, depending on the animal.
