Staffed 100% through the efforts and donations of volunteers, we find homes for animals that other shelters and people have given up on. Through the kindness of various boarding kennels and foster families, rescued animals are cared for until they find that final family to love them. Rescue Ridge began by rescuing healthy, beautiful, animals that were slated to be euthanized through no fault of th

eir own. We felt it was unfair, that because their 'humans' had no more use for them, their days were numbered. We have tried to give each and every one of these companions a new lease on life. We rescued dogs, cats, horses and any other animal that we were able to help with our limited resources. And since we have limited space, we are always searching for those willing to help foster these wonderful creatures. We are always happy to provide information on options available to anyone needing to re-home their pet for whatever reason. It is our belief that education regarding pet ownership and its responsibilities is the best hope these companions have. Those gorgeous baby blue eyes are the first thing you will notice on Rosy, but she is so much more than just a pretty face! Rosy is 2 year old, 57 lb mixed breed sweetheart! Rosy is very friendly and affectionate. She loves her walks and playtime and has a very engaging personality. Rosy is housebroken, crate trained and very calm and well behaved in the home. She has had professional training and knows many commands! She is very smart and really enjoys working for treats. She would thrive in a home with strong leadership. This gorgeous boy is CJ! CJ is a 9 month old, 65 pound Rottweiler. CJ is a friendly, playful puppy. He knows some basic commands, is very manageable on a leash and is housebroken ! He will need some additional training, but he’s intelligent and treat motivated and would thrive in a home that can provide him with structure and exercise. CJ is dog friendly and cat friendly!! CJ’s ideal home would be be with an active family/person that will continue to socialize him. Due to his size and additional need for training, no children under the age of 13. If you know the breed, you know how loving and loyal these dogs are, and CJ is no exception! CJ is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. Tinx and Binx are a gentle bonded pair of brown tabbies with big hearts and soft paws. Tinx is light brown. These two aren’t fans of being picked up, but don’t let that fool you—they love to be near you. Whether they’re hopping up on the couch to hang out or strolling across your lap like it’s a personal runway, they find sweet little ways to say, “We trust you.”

They’re obsessed with wand toys, love sharing their canned meals in a cozy crate, and can often be found soaking up sun in the window box while chirping at birds and squirrels. Both will lean in to rub their faces against your hand, showing affection in the softest, most heart-melting ways.

Tinx and Binx are FeLV negative and FIV positive—but don’t worry, FIV+ cats can live long, happy lives with good care, especially in calm, loving indoor homes. These two are ready to share that home with someone patient and kind who appreciates quiet companionship and tender moments.

Sophie is a sweet and friendly 3-year-old Pittie mix. Sophie loves people and is waiting for a family of her own to shower them with affection. She is a playful girl who would love an active family to take her on nice walks every day. Sophie is professionally trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and has mastered many commands. Sophie's ideal adopter would be willing to reinforce her training in the home, and her trainer is happy to provide her new family a couple of lessons, at no cost to the adopter. Sophie can live with children 10+ since she is a bit of a "bull" in a china shop. She needs to be the only pet in the home. While Sophie doesn't want to live with another dog or cat, she is not reactive when passing by them on her walks. Sophie has been on many pack walks with other dogs. She has been to multiple group lessons with other dogs, too, and is well-behaved. Sophie maintains excellent eye contact in the heel position with anyone who picks up her leash. Such an amazing girl and so deserving of a loving, forever home. Sophie's energy level is active for about 15-20 minutes and then settles into a calm state. She has no issues with toys, treats, or food. Sophie has been spayed, is up to date on vaccines, and is waiting patiently for someone to come along and discover the incredible girl she is!
