Isn’t Wilson adorable?!? 🥰

Wilson just recently started obedience training and is currently learning all the basics including leash manners! In a few short months he will be old enough to learn off leash obedience commands. We enjoy our lessons with this smart boy and look forward to seeing him again soon. 🐾

We met up with sweet, Poppy, yesterday for her second Puppy Preschool lesson!

We focused on the MOST important training objective for a puppy between the age of 8-16 weeks…SOCIALIZATION!

Hampton Park was full of people of all ages, dogs, bikes, geese, and more! Poppy is a confident pup in new environments and showed no fear. We will continue positive exposure outside of her home so her confidence continues to grow! 🐾

Meet our newest & sweetest Puppy Preschool trainee, Poppy!

This adorable girl and her owner are off to a great start! Our first private lesson yesterday focused on wrapping up house training, crate training, and socialization.

We look forward to watching her progress and seeing her again soon for some socialization lessons! 💜

Training Update!

Otis completed our Intermediate Obedience program a few months ago. He was adopted from Lakeside Animal Rescue and his new owners came to us needing help with getting him to listen around distractions. We met with them recently for a follow up lesson at Home Depot and he did amazing with listening while his owners shopped! He is such a good boy and now has manners! We are so happy that he has a loving family committed to him! 🐾

Wilson was recently rescued from and we met him and his new owners for an evaluation yesterday! We discussed a training plan and look forward to starting private lessons next week!

When rescuing a dog, it is so important to find a trainer that can help you with integrating the dog into your home. It takes months for a rescue to fully settle and become comfortable in your home and with your daily routine/lifestyle. Giving him/her this time and incorporating obedience training will help him/her with the transition. Training will also help to strengthen your bond with your new pup! 🐾

Fathom K9 offers an obedience Refresher course for dogs who have completed any of our training programs. This program is great if your dog is “rusty” on his/her commands or if you feel they need more practice with commands around distractions.

Our Refresher course is very popular when our clients are on vacation because their dogs can brush up on their obedience skills while they are away.

Meet Hope! She started her board & train program with us this week. She is a search & rescue dog in Horry County. She loves to track and find missing people!

She has a great obedience foundation already so we will be working on advanced skills and distractions! We are happy to have her for the next two weeks and look forward to watching her progress! 🐾

Going on vacation?! Our board & train programs are great options when you are out of town. While you are relaxing your dog can be learning tons of new skills!

If your dog is a graduate of any of our training programs, he/she is eligible for our Refresher course. This course revisits learned commands and focuses on distractions!

Meet four month old, Butters! He is with us from Lakeside Animal Rescue for our two week, on-leash, Basic Obedience Program.  We would love nothing more than to see Butters leave training with a family of his own!  If you adopt Butters, our trainer will meet with you for free training sessions to teach you how to work his obedience and integrate him into your home! 🐾
