Hey Everybody! Hope you all are having a great day! I was extremely happy when Miss Jodi took me outside this morning for a ride to the vet to be neutered and given a rabies vaccination. We enjoyed posing for our picture before I loaded onto the transport to head to the vet. My name is William, and I am estimated to be about 1 year and 7 months old. I am actively searching for my Furever home.

BRRR!!!..........It was freezing cold when Rescue Rangers picked me up this morning at Metro Animal Shelter on January 7, 2025. Guess what? I am going to be spayed and given a rabies vaccination before I go back to the shelter. My name is Dottie and I am estimated to be a 2 year old German Shorthair Pointer mix. Wow!! I have been told I am very pretty girl, and I would love to meet you. We can interview one another in the meet and greet room at Metro and that way we will not be so cold! Come to Metro and let's meet one another – who knows, we may even become a family! I am looking forward to meeting you. Love, Dottie

From the Dogs of Metro and Rescue Rangers - Happy New Year everyone! We are looking forward to spaying and/or neutering more dogs in 2025! We are often asked if we have adopted dogs from Metro Animal Shelter. Answer: of course! The photo accompanying this post is of three Metro dogs, all of whom were adopted from Metro. The blond dog is our personal dog whom we adopted 7 years ago. The 2 black/white/tan dogs are our granddogs. The black dog who is lying on the floor was adopted 5.5 years ago and the black and and white dog was adopted 3 years ago. Needless to say, we all love each and every one of them with all of our hearts.

Thank you to everyone who adopted a dog from Metro Animal Shelter. Let's keep the adoptions rolling!

I was so excited to be going for a ride to the vet. I could not stand still for my picture! My name is Wiggy, and I am estimated to be approximately 3 years old. Yes, I was neutered and given a rabies vaccination Wednesday, December 18, 2024. I have beautiful fluffy brown fur. I am now searching for my forever family. I was sitting in my kennel feeling sad, lonely, worried, and depressed when all of a sudden my kennel door opened and I was walked to the reception area where I met my now furever family! What a great Christmas present! I love them with all my heart already!

Oh my gosh! I am soooooooo excited! I met my now furever family and we all fell in love instantly. Next thing I knew, we were filling out our 'doption paperwork, and then we all went out the door together!

Ya know. . .ya just never know what wonderful things can happen. My name is Velvet. My mom is a volunteer at Metro Animal Shelter, and when we recently went for a walk together - we fell in love with each other. Yes, we also 'dopted one another! I am so happy and love my new family with all my heart.

PS: RR was at the shelter when I was 'dopted and want you all to know, my mom sat on the floor with me for quite awhile stroking my head and softly talking to me. I was lying on her lap enjoying the pets she was giving me and listening to the sweet words she was saying to me. It was obvious to everyone there, we knew it was meant to be for us to become a family!

Hello everyone! I want you all to know my now furever family came to the shelter 3 hours before opening time just to be sure they were the first people there to 'dopt me. My fam had seen my picture online and just knew in their hearts they already loved me and they also knew we were going to become a family! The instant I met them and heard their voices as they talked to me, I, too, knew we were going to become a family. I am so happy and excited to be 'dopted!
