Brennan Caldwell, is a 2029 rising freshman. Brennan, rides for Red Horse Training in Waddy, Kentucky. At the 2025 IEA Western Nationals in Fort Worth, Texas, Brennan received the NRHA Sportsmanship Award for the second consecutive year. This summer, Brennan and her gelding, Rawhide Shines (Rawley), are competing in the Green Reiner program in NRHA/KRHA Reining events in Kentucky.

Back to School Camp was a blast! We played games, painted our favorite horses, learned to rope, enjoyed ice cream sundaes, played mounted games on horseback, and wrapped it all up with our own Equestrian Olympics. So proud of everyone for trying new things and making memories together! Thank you, Holden Bray for being our Camp helper and assisting Coach Caitlin!

Not once, but TWICE this IEA Middle School Rider has won the IEA Western National Finals Rider Sportsmanship Award! BRENNAN CALDWELL (who rides on the Red Horse Training IEA Middle School Team in Waddy, KY and coached by Caitlin Halliwell) was once again named the winner of this prestigious award given at each IEA National Finals.

Voted on by the IEA show staff and show officials, this award highlights Brennan's outstanding sportsmanship behavior, volunteerism, and helpful and cheery attitude throughout the entire event.

“Good sportsmanship is a tenant in the IEA and this award is held to high regard. Choosing the National Finals Sportsman from the pool of amazing candidates is always a difficult decision at every event,” commented Roxane Durant, IEA Founder and Executive Director. “Out of 200+ youth competitors this year at Western Finals - Brennan again stood out as a fantastic example to her peers.”

Congrats again to Brennan and her team for qualifying and always supporting each other. (Now, that's some good parenting and coaching right there... If she keeps this up, she's going to need a new shelf for all her Sportsmanship awards!)

A big Red Horse welcome to Aaliyah, who just had her very first pony ride at age 3! She hopped right on, showed off her natural balance, and absolutely loved spending time with Mr. Wilson. We love seeing young riders gain confidence and have fun—Aaliyah, you’re already a natural in the saddle!

There’s nothing better than watching new friendships form between kids and our lesson ponies. We can’t wait to see Aaliyah back in the arena soon!

Our P*e Wee Rider Program has a few spots open for new little cowgirls and cowboys! 🐴✨ If your child is ages 2–7 and ready to build confidence, balance, and horsemanship skills in a fun, safe environment, now’s the perfect time to join us at Red Horse Training.
