Courtesy posting: Poppyseed (Poppy), the young Doberman Pinscher who stayed at Peppy Paws a couple months ago, is in need of a new home. She currently lives with other animals (farm) and that is posing a problem because she is showing strong prey drive.
She is just 9 months old now, spayed, up-to-date (age appropriate) on all her health things.
While here, she got along fine with other dogs although she was a little timid meeting new dogs like Mac, who is very nice and friendly and loves to play. When she met him, she ran away screaming at first. She was a little timid with me initially but got over it pretty quickly.
She will need intensive training for basic obedience/manners and lots of regular exercise to become a good pet, as she is a pretty large dog who doesn't know how to walk on leash or behave calmly in the house. (That is to say, she's presently quite a handful). She will want a home with patient, knowledgeable owners who are willing to invest in working with her. The good thing is she is still quite young with tremendous potential. Below are some pics and video clips.
