Today’s a reminder that protecting your pets means planning ahead — even in emergencies.

Here are a few quick tips to keep your furry family members safe in the event of a fire:
🚪 Keep leashes and carriers near exits
🚒 Place a pet alert sticker on windows
💡 Never leave open flames unattended
🐶 Practice fire drills that include your pets
🧯 Know where your pets hide when they’re scared

Your pets rely on you — be prepared so you can act fast if the unexpected happens.

Flirt blessed us with 11 black puppies yesterday! We do have puppies available out of this litter. They will go to their forever homes in mid-August. These are out of River. We also have a couple of female puppies available out of the Faith and River litter that will go home in about 2 weeks. Prices on these puppies are $2000-$2500. 💧🐶 Happy National Hydration Day! 🐶💧

Hot weather = happy pups... as long as they stay hydrated! ☀️🐾

Here are some quick tips to keep your dog cool, safe, and hydrated all summer long:
💦 Fresh water, always. Refill their bowl often — outdoors and in.
🚫 No hot pavement walks. It’s not just hard on paws — it overheats them faster.
🧊 Add ice cubes to their water for a fun (and cooling) crunch!
🏖️ Bring water on every outing — don’t count on streams or lakes.
🍉 Offer hydrating treats like dog-safe fruits (think watermelon, cucumber – no seeds!).
🌳 Take breaks in the shade and watch for signs of dehydration: lethargy, dry gums, or excessive panting.

A well-hydrated dog is a happy, healthy dog — especially during summer fun!

Time to trade snow for sniffs, and sweaters for sunshine!

Your dog’s summer bucket list:
✅ Roll in the grass
✅ Chase 3,000 squirrels
✅ Steal one hotdog
✅ Splash in anything that resembles water
✅ Soak up every sunny moment with their favorite human (that’s you)

🦆 And for our hardworking hunting dogs – summer is for staying sharp!
Whether it’s water retrieves, marking drills, or just a good swim, it’s the perfect season to train and play.

🌊☀️ Don’t forget the summer safety basics: pack water, watch for hot pavement, and never leave your pup in a hot car!
