***ADOPTED***
Obie, 1 year, has had so much attention from his last post and over a dozen emails but very few people have actually reached out to try to arrange a meet and greet. Obie is house trained, great with dogs, cats, and children, was said to be a Lab which we do definitely believe he is, although we also believe him to be a Great Pyrenees mixed with a Lab. He weighs about what you would expect of a typical male lab to weigh, but he is built more like a Pyr with a longer thinner body. Obie was surrendered because while his family absolutely loved him, their lifestyle and living in an apartment was not an active enough household to meet his needs. Obie would love to find a family that enjoys many outdoor adventures, other dogs would be wonderful, and a home that knows they can handle a higher energy breed. If his size is not a problem, and you love a bigger dog, he might just be your perfect fit. Email [email protected] if interested in telling Obie all about his potential forever home and the entire family is on board.

Gino is pondering about why he's still here at the shelter, hoping for someone to make him a part of their family. Gino is two years old, and is patiently waiting for a stable and loving home. He hasn't had the easiest start in life, and the shelter environment is can be a bit rough on him. Gino does, however, transform into an incredibly happy and energetic dog once he's outside. He loves playing keep away, fetch and has great zoomies. 🐾
When it comes to treats, Gino them gently and walks like a pro on his leash. Because he's been moved around so much, he can be a little reserved when you first meet him. But once he knows he can trust you, he has so much love to give. 💙 Gino has lived with other dogs, both big and small, and he's at the perfect age for training. With a patient and confident owner, he will blossom into a secure and happy companion. If you have experience with his breed and are looking to add a sweet boy to your family, please consider meeting Gino.
He is waiting for you at the Spotsylvania Animal Shelter in Fredericksburg, Virginia. You can meet him today between 12 to 4 p.m.

Crooks, 5 years, far right, is an adorable squatty low rider who wants to know when breakfast will be served! This ridiculously handsome guy arrived stray, with a dull coat and emaciated, not having had the best of care. Crooks has gained weight, his coat is shining, he's house trained now, crate trained and does really well with all the other pups in his foster home. Crooks has yet to be cat tested, and would likely be best with children 8 and up. If your heart is calling for a Chihuahua sized American Bully, and you know you can provide a loving and true forever home, please email Crooks at [email protected] and make sure to tell him all about what life as part of your family could be like.

If you are looking for a fun-loving girl, please come meet Zylah. She is a beautiful, energetic 1.5 yearold girl who is ready to find her forever family.
Zylah has quickly won the hearts of everyone at the shelter with her friendly and sweet nature. She's already microchipped, but unfortunately, her owners haven't come to claim her. While we're still getting to learn about her, she has shown us what a happy and easygoing temperament she has.
If you're looking for a new best friend, come meet Zylah at the Spotsylvania Animal Shelter. Adoption hours are between 12 and 4 pm in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

Good morning from Kelsi, one year, she says life is pretty great, but would be so much better with a family to call her own. She would thrive in a household looking for a true family dog. She may have arrived as a microchipped stray, and never been reclaimed, though for the life of us, we cannot understand why, as she is housetrained, crate trained, adores every human, wonderful on leash, great with kids and cats, and does well with dogs that are not larger than her. Kelsi is about as easy as they come, and just needs regular meals, lots of love, and some family play and walks. She would love to go hiking or to cheer on kids at games as well if she could possibly find that in her forever home. Please share, a dog this will trained should not be having such a hard time finding her forever home. Email [email protected] if interested in adding Kelsi to your family, and please make sure to include some information for her about what life with your family could be like.

***FAMILY DOG ALERT***
Kelsi, 1 year old, is ready to find a home to call her own. This gal is amazing, great with kids and cats, has done well with meets at the shelter, though she may prefer dogs her size or smaller. Kelis is house trained, crate trained, and a great cheerleader in that she's always full of smiles, happy, and with her tail a waggin'. PLEASE SHARE and if this gorgeous girl has captured your heart, EMAIL [email protected] to tell her all about her potential forever home.

***PLEASE SHARE FOR CROOKS***
If Crooks looks a bit sad it's because he's been promoted often yet received no adoption interest despite his adorableness. Crooks may weigh 50 pounds, but he's built like a Chihuahua, tiny as can be and super low to the ground. Crooks has the most adorable kinked tail and laid back personality. He's great with other dogs, though does not need a playmate so much as a cuddle partner. We believe he is around 5 years of age and he's crate and house trained. PLEASE SHARE Crooks loves his foster home but is ready to find his FOREVER HOME. Email [email protected] to tell Crooks a bit about what life as part of your family could be like.
