Anyone have that younger sibling who’s sole purpose was to get your attention? Even, maybe especially, if it was by annoying you like crazy?

That’s Wanda. This girl was guessed to be 3-5 years old but she doesn’t act her age. She’s a total do**us and loves to be the center of attention. If other dogs are playing with her fav friend or her fav friend is done playing and just wants to chill, Wanda will gently smack them with toys or not so gently bark in their face until she gets her way. She loves to get all the snuggles and is never grumpy when her friends tell her “enough is enough” but she is persistent. Wanda needs a tolerant friend that is big enough to handle romping with her. Maybe 40+ lbs. She has done well with us adult humans and older kids. She’s potty trained and very smart, even if that doesn’t always come across as such. Wanda is some sort of boxer or bulldog mix. The goofball and stubbornness are strong but she’s a good girl and desperately wants her own family so she can stop watching all of her friends get adopted, before her. And 👀 that underbite. 😍

Teton, why are you so cute?!

Teton is ready for applications! This guy is about a year old and a Saint Bernard mix. Might be some Pyrenees in there but we won’t talk about momma’s private business. He is about a year old and so sweet! He loves his human friends and has loved all the dogs he has met. He is big and does want to play but he is a gentle guy.

Teton lived his precious life outside, so he will need some help with house rules and learning to be a pampered boy. He will be groomed Saturday and getting neutered on Tuesday.

⚠️MICROCHIPPING IS A SAFE, INEXPENSIVE WAY TO HELP CONTROL OUR CITY’S STRAY DOGS AND KEEP THE SHELTERS POPULATION TO A MANAGEABLE SITUATION:⚠️

From City of Indianapolis Code:

Sec. 531-202. - Permanent identification of dogs and cats required.

(a) A person who owns a dog or cat in the consolidated city and county shall ensure that each dog or cat owned by that person bears a permanent means of identification at all times, such that the animal's owner can be ascertained accurately, quickly, and easily. 💯

(b) The identification required by this section shall be in addition to any tags required to be worn by dogs or cats by state law or other provision of this Code, and shall be by means of a microchip implanted in the dog or cat or animal that bears a registered identification number, and that can be read by a standard microchip scanner.

(c) Each veterinarian or other person in the consolidated city and county who implants microchips as contemplated in this section shall make available upon request to the animal care services division the names, addresses, and phone numbers of the owners of the dogs and cats, and the corresponding microchip identification numbers. Such records shall be available to the animal care services agency without court order

(d) It shall be unlawful for a person to own a dog or cat three (3) months of age or older that is kept in the city, and that does not bear a permanent means of identification as provided in this section. A violation of this section shall be subject to an admission of violation and payment of the designated civil penalty through the ordinance violations bureau in accordance with chapter 103 of this Code.

Briar, here! I’m 6-7 months old and hoping to find my new fam. I love dogs. And I’m much more confident with another dog around so at least 1 in my new home would be ideal. I’m all puppy. But I’m smart. Blessing or curse, depending on who you are. I have done well with small humans but I can’t promise I won’t knock them over.

I love to play. With toys. With friends. Doesn’t matter. Then, I’ll crash and snooze like a baby. I’m crate trained and once I learn the routine, am potty trained.

I’d love to come live with you!
