Southern Charmers Animal Rescue and Sanctuary Ron and I are helping to stop the feline overpopulation that has been a problem for many years in my neighborhood at the beach and all of Panama City Beach.

We will be humanely trapping spaying neutering and releasing back where they were being fed! We take in neglected abused and medically needy dogs. We are an all Volunteer 501c3 public charity. Donations can be tax deductible. You may help us help the needy by making a donation. Go to Paypal and click Friends and Family, put in our email address for the rescue

Meet Phoenix, our newest intake. The poor darling was in a house fire in Washington County last week. Her face, ears & paw pads got burned. She will heal & has went into a foster home for a couple of weeks. Grateful to be alive, she is eating well & purring. She will go up for adoption when healed. Please send your healing vibes to Phoenix 🥰❤️

Day 5 of Spay & Neuter Awareness Month is here!

Shelters and rescues are bursting at the seams. Prevent surplus cats and dogs in the first place by getting your furkids spayed/neutered and TNVRing community cats.

Find your nearest budget friendly clinic by going to fixfinder.org or by searching online for “low cost spay neuter near me.”

TNR Results as of March 19th

18 Cats Altered:
11 female spayed ( 8 were pregnant)
7 males neutered

Of the 11 females 2 had a very serious uterine infection (pyometra) and each needed an antibiotic shot of Convenia to help get rid of the infection.

They will be healing and watched over at my home, praying they make a complete recovery ❤️‍🩹

*Once a female gets Pyometra unless they get spayed to remove the uterus and infection they most likely would die.

We have also decided to spend an extra $20 on each cat to recieve an Advantage Multi for fleas and a dewormer.. when they return to their “Feeding Homes” we want them as healthy as can be.

Thank you to everyone supporting this much needed TNR project.

Spaying and Neutering is the real humane solution to stop reproduction, and giving the cats a healthier life.
Males won’t spray or stray!!
And females wont give off any pheromones to attract others.
Win win for the Cats and Us!!!

Donation’s still needed as we have another 15-20 on Sunnyside Lane alone!!

Please remember to pick up the food after an hour being put out. DO NOT LEAVE FOOD OUT ALL DAY… you will attract more than cats if you do.
