New Classes beginning on Saturday, March 15 for dogs ages 5 mo and above. The classes are scheduled from March 15 through

Teach your dog train your dog. Hands On Dog Training will be starting new classes on Saturday, March 15, 2025. We have puppy class (9:30 AM), basic manners class (10:30 AM), and juvenile class (11:30 AM). Classes are 6 weeks long with a break in our schedule for school spring break. Thank you to everyone who braved the weather yesterday to get their dog’s picture with Santa. We had many wonderful dogs who got to meet Santa (some for the first time). I also want to give a big Thank You to all the volunteers who helped with the event.

Looking at current position statements from organizations like AVSAB (American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior), who are the leaders on veterinary care and behavior, they are abundantly clear that the outdated belief of avoiding socialization until vaccines are completed has no place in current standards. This is relevant because in many cases this fear of strangers or a particular group of people, results from lack of socialization during this critical period and can have lifelong impacts into adulthood.
