Meet Chives & Scallion
These little onions and their siblings were dumped into our farm leads yard this summer when they were only about 6 weeks old.
Unfortunately the kittens were discovered by the dogs. Before anything could be done, one kitten had passed. Scallion was in the dog’s mouth and was released immediately upon command. Chives and her (already adopted) sister, Garlic, were found in the bushes.

Scallion’s pelvis and back legs were injured in his encounter with the dogs. Our veterinarian’s placed him on cage rest for a few weeks. Even when he was recovering, he and his sisters were trying to play with each other. After about 3 weeks of rest he began to bear weight on his back legs again. He has recovered from his injuries, but still has a wide stance to his back legs. He has a bit of a bowed-legged look, but is able to run and jump just fine. He is an adorable cuddly curious neutered tabby male. He likes to play and run but also displays a bit more calmness than his sisters.

Chives and her recently adopted sister, Garlic, were found hiding in the bushes around the yard. Fleas and ticks were feeding on these tiny kittens weighing in at only around one pound. They were easily scared at first, but quickly began to develop trust and become more brave. They began to thrive in their foster home. They spent their summer playing with children and other cats. They’ve been around well behaved dogs since their first encounter but keep their distance. Chives can still startle easily, but she quickly recovers. Her curiosity wins out and she needs to explore everything. She is a very loving playful spayed female. She has a sleek silver coat with adorable white socks.

We want to extend our deepest condolences to the family of Mark Douglas Gibson. Not only was he a beloved father and family member but he was also an amazing foster parent to many litters of OFS kittens. Our team will always remember him in the faces of his recent fosters, the Onion family.

Thank you Mark for the love and care you gave our cat and thank you to his family for encouraging donations to be made in his honor.

FOSTER/ADOPTER NEEDED!

Cooper is a 5 year old beagle.
He has been in a foster to adopt home for the better part of a year and they’ve decided that he is not a fit. 😢

We have no place for Cooper to go and desperately need a foster or adopter for him. He’s just a little guy and won’t take up to much room.

A little about him from the people he’s been living with.

Cooper loves to snack. Your snacks are his snacks and he’s very clever at findng a way to share.

Cooper is a bit of a runner. He needs to be on a leash or in a very secure yard. He’s made a run for it a few times

He gets along great with other dogs, cats and kids

He loves to cuddle.

He’s quiet, but does howl if he sees other dogs outside the house.

He rings a bell to go potty, but sometimes has trouble holding it if he’s left alone for 8 hours or more.

He’s had previous crate training but is not currently using a crate. He has been known to howl when crated.

Please let us know asap if you have room for Cooper in your home?

We are desperate and begging for help.

🌈 A Reunion 130 Days in the Making 🌈

Back in April, OFS adopter Sloane reached out to us distraught — her beloved cat, Rainbow, had gone missing. Despite searching and hoping, months passed with no word.

Then, just last week, Jordan, the kind person who found Rainbow, contacted us after a veterinarian scanned Rainbow’s chip and discovered it was registered to OFS. Because Rainbow was adopted through Our Farm Sanctuary, we were able to look up Sloane’s contact information and reconnect them that very evening.

This story is a beautiful reminder of why microchipping matters and why community kindness makes all the difference. 💕

After more than 130 days apart, Rainbow and Sloane are finally back together. 💜A powerful reminder to never give up hope!

After all, Our Farm Sanctuary is “Where Hope Lands”

Welcome home, Rainbow. 🐾🌈

These adorable kitties were living in a car with their person. They gave the kittens over to one of our volunteers concerned about their care. The kittens were fully vetted, vaccinated and spayed/neutered. They are now ready for adoption.

The kittens received their names because the Tortie sisters look very similar. We tell them apart because Port has orange markings on the left side of her face and Starboard has orange markings on the right side of her face. Their brother Wellerman is orange and white.

These kittens are cute, cuddly, and curious. The love to play and explore. They are curious about everything around them at this age.
The sailors love to cuddle. They will purr instantly when picked up.
They love other cats and feel like everyone is a friend and playmate.
They are not so sure of dogs yet, but with time they would likely be okay. Like most sailors, they love a little seafood in the form of canned food.

These kitties are currently in a foster home but are available to meet with an approved application! Apply to sail away with these kittens at OurFarmSanctuary.org

Hey all! My name is Cindy, Im the farm lead for Our Farm Sanctuary. In the photo beside me is our sweet little princess, Zelda. Zelda and I decided to team up to help the sanctuary in getting feed donations for the farm animals. The sanctuary runs solely on donations to care for all our animals, currently donations are down. We have 30 farm animals, which includes horses, ponies, donkeys, cows, pigs, goats, alpaca and 2 turkeys. It costs approximately $1000 a month for feed for our farm kids. Zelda and I thought by reaching out to our supporters, we just might be able to get feed donations for all her farm buddies. Oh yeah, Zelda is also requesting some of her favorite pig treats, which she always, willingly sits for. I will list all the feed in the comments. All the feed can be purchased from our chewy wishlist https://www.chewy.com/g/our-farm-sanctuary_b76454163 and sent directly to the sanctuary.
