Frank was seized by Animal Control after being found in unkept and unsanitary conditions. He was severely underweight and struggling with numerous health issues including painful skin inflammation, cauliflower ear, a dislocated kneecap, and brachycephalic airway syndrome that made it hard for him to breathe.

AARF knew this boy deserved a chance and stepped in to provide the care and compassion he needed. With dedicated medical treatment and the loving support of his foster family, Frank slowly began to heal.

Now thriving in his forever home, Frank's adopter says, "We have so loved having Frank join our family! He spends his days sunbathing and playing in his new backyard. He fits into our lives perfectly and we love seeing his silly personality as he gets more and more comfortable. We chose to adopt because we know every rescue animal deserves a second chance and Frank always reminds us how much love he has to give! He is the missing part of our lives we didn't even know we needed!"

Meet Catalaya! This poor kitty came to Baltimore County Animal Services is a owner surrender due to her owners losing their home and not being able to take her with them. In the home they reported she was overgrooming which likely was due to stress of their living situation. They noted no behavior concerns with her and said she is a very sweet and friendly kitty. She has lived with kids, cats, and dogs and did well with all! Here at the shelter Catalaya is sweet but shy which is understandable as the shelter can be a stressful place. Unfortunately, it was noted that Catalaya had excessive water intake and frequent urinations which is likely of diabetes. Upon veterinarian examination, she has a body condition score of 7 out of 9, muscle wasting in her hind and alopecia on her back. Due to her medical needs we are hoping to place her with a rescue organization asap!
