UPDATE 12/8/22: ADOPTED
We are hitting our share button for Moose again today. We just LOVE Fences For Fido and what they do to help dogs off chains. No dog should live like that! Lucky Moose was surrendered to Fences For Fido and now he's ready to find a home where he can continue living the life he is enjoying, INSIDE! Will you join us today to help Moose find an adoptive home?
Here's Moose! An 11-year-old, 95 pound neutered male who is guessed to be a pitbull mix. Prior to being rescued, Moose was formerly chained for years but he has adjusted so well to being indoors and loves being safe and warm and protected from the elements. His favorite nap spot is on a furry blanket on the sofa.
Moose is a gentle, friendly giant with people. He is successfully living with other dogs, big and small. He does great with new dog introductions. He LOVES to play with other dogs. Moose freely interacts and lives with the foster mom's medium and large dogs, but she keeps her Yorkie behind a baby gate a lot just so Moose doesn't step on her accidentally. Moose regularly visits his foster's father's home and he does well with their dogs too. Moose has never been observed around cats.
Moose is mostly potty-trained but his foster mom recently put a belly band on him because he had some occasional accidents. He is 100% comfortable in his belly band. He doesn't mind wearing belly bands or putting them on.
We have found that senior dogs who have endured life as an "outside dog" are so happy to live inside! Their joy and gratitude is so rewarding. Moose is ready for his happily ever after, might that be with you?
Moose is posted for Fences For Fido. He is being fostered in Olympia, WA. Please contact [email protected]
This is a cross post. Moose is not an Old Dog Haven dog. We urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
