Registration is now open for the 2025 Doodle Romp—a tail-wagging, family-friendly celebration of dogs, wine, and fundraising! Join us on Saturday, October 25th (rain date: October 26th) at the beautiful Briede Family Vineyards in Wi******er, VA, for an afternoon of off-leash romping for the pups and wine tastings and lunch for the humans.

This unique event benefits the Humane Society of Morgan County, WV, and welcomes all friendly dogs and breeds—doodle or not! Bring your furry companion, enjoy the scenic vineyard, sip some local wine, and support a great cause. It’s the perfect way to spend a fall day with your best friend (or two). You may even run into a few littermates for a fun group photo!

Come and support our FIRST (hopefully annual) 𝙏𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙨 𝙤𝙣 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙨 5𝙆 𝙍𝙪𝙣/𝙒𝙖𝙡𝙠/𝙎𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙡𝙡 on September 13 from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. at Cacapon State Park.

🏃Easy course for all fitness levels to run, jog, walk, stroll or skip.
🐕Include your pup on a leash
👷🏾Volunteer to help us make this a great event (seated and standing options available)

🏃🏽‍♀️📱Can't make it but want to support? Register and participate virtually, in your own time, and post pics to our social media

Cost is only $30 per person and all proceeds benefit the Humane Society of Morgan County West Virginia

Hey people! My name is Russell and according to the staff here at the shelter, I am the best boy! I love to be loved and cannot get enough of it! I am your typical Shephard/Husky dog - I love to run, play, and be active! I also love cuddles and calm time; belly rubs are a must! A home with a fenced in yard would be ideal but not required (as long as I get to go for walks and adventures!). If you love big cuddly dogs, then you will adore me! I love meeting new people and showing them my tricks! So, call the office and schedule a time to meet me - What are you waiting on?? You will not regret it! Woof

Hey there! My name is Moose and I am such a good boy! I love belly rubs, cuddle time, and play time! I was found exploring in Jefferson County, and no one came to pick me up at animal control. I was due to be euthanized, but the lady's at animal control absolutely adored me, and knew they had to find me somewhere safe to go! So here I am, hanging out with my new favorite people at the Humane Society in Morgan County! I would love nothing more than to have a home with my very own family! Maybe some kids to play with and a yard to run around and play fetch in! I am a little scared of storms, so a home that will cuddle me when it thunders would be amazing! Hi there! My name is Rock-O and I am looking for my Furever home. I LOVE kids and cats (I am actually in the shelter office cuddling with a cat right now- he is my new friend). I was in a car accident a few years ago, and it knocked out a few of my teeth, but I can still eat just fine! The accident was very traumatic for me, so whenever it thunders outside, I need some extra love and cuddles! It helps me feel more safe and secure. If you are looking for a dog that LOVES to cuddle, LOVES kids, and LOVES cats - I am your boy!! According to the staff, I check all of the good boy boxes! Please come meet with me and give me an amazing home. I am missing my human kid and mom terribly, so the faster I can get into a home, the better.
