🐾 Hi friends, it’s me—Copenhagen! 🐾

I had my senior wellness exam with Dr. Winters and my awesome tech, Bella. They said I was such a good boy (and let’s be real… I am 🐶✨). Mom was so proud of me, she took me out for a special treat afterward—10/10 would recommend. 🍪😋

Now, let me tell you why senior check-ups like mine are super important:
✅ They help catch little problems before they turn into big ones.
✅ They keep us older pups feeling comfy, happy, and active.
✅ And most importantly… they mean more treats when we’re extra brave at the vet! 😉

💡 Lucy’s Laser Life Update! 💡

Lately, I’ve seen a lot of lost pets popping up on our social media pages. It makes me sad thinking about them being away from their families… and it got me thinking:
💡 If you’ve got a microchip, make sure it’s registered and up-to-date so you can get back home ASAP!

Now, I’m a big guy—big paws, big heart, big appetite—and if I ever got lost, you better believe I’d want to get back to the humans who feed me, scratch my ears, and make sure my water bowl is always full. 🍖💙

So, do me a favor: ask your pet parents to have your chip checked at your next vet visit. It’s quick, easy, and could be the ticket home if you ever go on an “unexpected adventure.”

💦 Pet Hydration Awareness 💦

It’s hot out there, and staying hydrated is just as important for our furry friends as it is for us! Dehydration can sneak up on pets quickly, especially in the Arizona heat, so keeping fresh water available at all times is a must. 🚰🐾

💧 Why hydration matters:

🐾Helps regulate body temperature

🐾Supports healthy digestion and organ function

🐾Keeps joints moving and tails wagging!

And because we practice what we preach, check out how some of our AAWC employee pets like to keep cool and hydrated—whether it’s sipping from their bowls, playing in the hose, or turning water time into splash time. 🐶🐱

💡 Pro Tip: If you’re not sure if your pet is drinking enough, try adding ice cubes to their water bowl, offering pet-safe frozen treats, or using a pet water fountain to make drinking more fun!

This time, I’m here to talk about something super important—vaccines! Yep, just like you humans get shots to stay healthy, we pets need them too. They help protect us from all sorts of nasty illnesses so we can keep living our best, tail-wagging lives. 🐶💙

Now, before you say, “Banx, isn’t it a little hot out for a PSA?”—yes, yes it is. This photo is from a time when it was cooler… you know, when walking outside didn’t feel like stepping onto the surface of the sun. 🌞🔥 I like to look at it and pretend fall is just around the corner. 🍂 Soon…

🐾 Guess what? I’m officially READY FOR ADOPTION! 🐾

That’s right—your favorite sock thief is no longer coming soon... I’ve ARRIVED and I’m on the lookout for a forever home to conquer (nicely, of course). 💙🧦

I’m Haze, a 16-week-old certified cutie with a passion for fuzzy socks, snack time, and a little bit of harmless chaos. I’m parasite-free, I’ve had my first round of vaccines, and I’m getting my next round very soon—because even troublemakers need to stay healthy. 😼✨

Now for the important stuff: My FeLV/FIV test came back positive, but don’t freak out! At my age, it could just be mama’s antibodies showing up. I’ll need to be retested at 6 months old to know for sure. To play it safe, I’m looking for a home without other cats for now—but I’m totally dog-friendly if you’ve got a pup who wants a partner in play. 🐶💙

We were thrilled to partner with our friends at Love Connection Dog Rescue to help sweet Salem bring seven beautiful puppies into the world! 🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶

Her amazing technician, Lyndie, was on full-time birthing coach duty, making sure everything went smoothly for both Salem and her brand-new babies. 🍼🐾 We couldn’t be happier to see mom and pups doing so well!

😺💛 Found Cat – Let’s Get Him Home! 💛😺

This sweet boy was found Saturday in the Fry’s parking lot, trying to sneak inside to cool off from the Arizona heat. 🥵 Thankfully, a kind-hearted Good Samaritan brought him to us.

We’ve been keeping him safe, helping him cool down, giving him a full belly, and letting him rest. 💕 He’s incredibly sweet and clearly seems like he belongs to a family who must be missing him.

🎉 Billy's Back for a Recheck! 🐾

Billy came in for his post-surgery follow-up and we’re happy to report—he passed with flying colors! 💪✨ Dr. Ford and Nick gave him a thorough exam and everything is healing just the way it should.

We’re so proud of how far Billy has come and can’t wait to see him back to his usual self in no time. Keep up the great work, Billy! 💙
