Pudding is a little more friendly once he gets to know you. He is not a fan of pictures, but he tolerated it for the chance of a forever home. He is dog, cat and people friendly. He likes any human that feeds him.

For the Love of Oreo

Oreo was found in the grill of one of our fosters cars, right in front of the radiator. She had to cut her car open to get him out! He was so very hot in there we didn't think he'd survive, but here he is thriving! He loves to cuddle, sleep under covers, and go on your shoulders. He loves treats and he is vocal at times which were evident right from the beginning when he was crying like a maniac to be saved. He likes to play with his toys. He is cat friendly and teen friendly.

Spicy was found here in Corpus at Catfish Charlies by one of our board members. Spicy is an introverted, shy guy. He prefers to be left to his own devices, but will tolerate other cats, dogs, and people who serve him as the king he is.

About Us

For the Love of Strays is a “rescue family” that steps up and cares for our rescues as if they were our very own beloved pets. Our aim is to give every pet the opportunity to begin a new life with a loving family. FTLOS does not operate out of a shelter and most of our rescues are placed in the care of a loving foster home. We also have a few local boarding facilities that offer shelter until a foster home is available. These boarding facilities’ management and staff share the same love and desire that we have for saving homeless animals. We are very grateful for their assistance. FTLOS is working very hard to assist as many dogs and cats affected by hard times as our resources can possibly allow.
