Good afternoon y'all, I know posting has been a bit speratic over the past months but I wanted to make a post to talk about the future going forward for StillwaterSkulls.
At this moment, I will not currently be taking any more skull commissions for the next few months so I can focus on completing the skull commisions I've been presently working on and to ensure skulls get finished in a timely manner.
With working a regular 8-5, finding the proper time to be able to work on skulls has diminished heavily since last fall. When I was doing taxidermy work full-time while I focused on getting more veterinary experience it was much easier to use all allotted time for skull processing, and thus my time frames for skull work has heavily increased as of late to ensure my quality still remains the same.
Moving forward into the future, StillwaterSkulls will most likely become a seasonal business, opening in late May and closing for skull submittals a week after deer season ends. With my own schedule and what I've learned over the past few years, this is the timeframe which I can get the most work done efficiently and not have skulls sitting for 4+ months while I wait for the seasons to change.
To wrap this message up, I will post again on this page when I will be officially accepting skulls again this year and if any prices or time frames are officially updated as well. I do want to thank those who have worked with me and given me their business for their longhorns, cattle, deer, horse and everything in between. I'm looking forward to continuing work for y'all and I appreciate y'all's patience. Thank y'all again, and hope it's a great rest of y'all's week!
