The weather is getting nice. Days are longer and if you think your dog doesn’t know…..well. They do. And they soon will be telling you it’s time to extend their walks. Just be careful of other dogs. We all know our dogs are the best behaved But some are not. Here’s a great idea for those dogs that just want to go for a walk Genius idea to let people know before they get too close.

As I’m sure you have all heard… A devastating fire tore through the One Step Closer Animal Rescue (OSCAR) shelter in Andover, NJ. The building that has been a safe haven for so many dogs suffered catastrophic damage.

Charley’s is hosting a Dine to Donate Event to help One Step Closer Animal Rescue OSCAR rebuild their Shelter tomorrow, Thursday 2/12!

As we all suffer these bone chilling days with only the minimum ‘potty breaks’ it’s always good to know your dog’s limits! Some dogs are more susceptible to the cold than others. Short-coated, thin, elderly, or very young dogs get cold more quickly. We all need to pay attention to the amount of time stay outside! If your dog enjoys being outdoors and you will be outside longer than a few minutes, consider outfitting them with a sweater or coat to keep it warm. Hypothermia and frostbite pose major risks to dogs in winter just as it would to you. So always remember....they all depend on us to know what’s best for them ♥️🐾. Stay safe

Watermelon Slushies

This hydrating and refreshing slushie is a fantastic way to keep your dog cool and content during the hot summer months. Watermelon is low in calories and high in water content, making it a healthy and revitalizing treat.

Ingredients:

2 cups seedless watermelon, cubed
1/2 cup coconut water
Instructions:

In a blender, combine the watermelon and coconut water.
Blend until smooth and slushy.
Pour the mixture into a shallow container or ice cube trays.
Freeze for at least 2 hours or until firm.
Scoop out the slush and serve in a bowl to your canine companion. ♥️🐾
