🖤 MOWGLI IN THE HOUSE, LITERALLY!

After 12 long days on the run in Charlottesville, VA… Mowgli is HOME!

This wild adventure started when an unexpected fire alarm startled Mowgli so badly that he leapt from a second-story window and vanished. Despite the chaos, he did what many scared cats do — he stayed close, lurking just beyond reach.

🔍 Enter K9 Finley: his track showed Mowgli skirting the woodline behind the townhomes — and sure enough, that’s exactly where he was hiding out, watching it all unfold.

🐾 We had one false alarm when a lookalike cat was found two miles away and brought home… only for everyone to realize they’d just accidentally catnapped someone else’s pet. 😅 (No worries — that kitty made it home too!)

But there’s only one Mowgli… and he’s finally safe and sound back where he belongs. 🏡💛

🐾 ROSIE is SAFE in Glenburn, Maine! 🐾

Sometimes the best search strategy is patience, food, and a whole lot of yummy smells.

Rosie’s family did everything right in the beginning—flyers everywhere, community awareness, the whole neighborhood on the lookout. But after a week of zero sightings, they reached out for help.

👉 Instead of tracking, we held off. Rosie was close, and we didn’t want to push her away. What she needed was a safe, calm way home.

Here’s what we added:
🍗 Late-night grilling sessions (yes—grill at 9pm and keep it going!)
💨 Spraying liquid smoke up and down the driveway and into the woodline
🪑 Quiet “stakeout chairs” with her family sitting calm and low to the ground
🚫 Removing yard distractions that might scare her

It took patience, but the plan worked. As her family sat outside grilling into the night, Rosie finally came trotting down the driveway—drawn in by the smells and the safe vibe her family created.

💖 After nearly a week missing, Rosie is home where she belongs!

What did it take to bring Jerry home?

• 7️⃣ weeks of patience
• 4️⃣ cameras keeping watch
• 2️⃣ tracks with K9 Finley
• 1️⃣ phone call to get started

Jerry was found only about 500 feet from both of Finley’s tracks (done three weeks apart!) and just 100 feet from one of our “negatives.”

But here’s the key ➡️ In lost cat recovery, a negative (no scent) isn’t a dead end—it’s often a “probable positive,” pointing us toward likely paths of travel based on lost cat behavior. 🐾

After weeks of persistence, teamwork, and following the science of lost pet recovery… Jerry is SAFE. 💛

WELCOME HOME RILEY OF GOOCHLAND VA!!!

LESS THAN 24 HOURS AFTER TRACK!!

Beautiful but skittish Riley, a 7 yo Border collie who had a rough start in life before landing in her tub of butter with fur dad 7 months ago, TOOK OFF DURING A POP-UP T-STORM August 13, and disappeared into the night and the woods surrounding the house.

Fur dad wasted no time calling in Professional Pet Trackers and we were boots on the ground within 24 hours. Riley’s people were frantic and searched and ran the trails and then stopped calling and shouting and did everything the action plan required after they knew what to do. They did everything they could as quickly as they could. 😊 The thunder and lighting storm the night before had not helped but they left no stone unturned, including deploying a drone in the thick foliage, to no avail.

FAST FORWARD to this morning, early, fur dad got THE CALL WE ALL WANT! Skittish Miss Riley decided to ask for help 🙏🏻 and showed up on a neighbor’s porch less than a mile from the track and the home.

Welcome back sweet girl…tracking collar is in your future, which is very bright with the loving family who rescued you. 🥰

AND THE WINNER IS….
WELCOME HOME LOUIS OF MADISON COUNTY VA!!!

This was an all hands on deck case featuring Professional Pet Trackers, Real Deal Trapping and Sky Sniff Animal Recovery!!

Louis looks as STUNNED as we do to find himself HOME after his 18 Day odyssey in Madison….. And Syria…..And Haywood…And Old Blue Ridge Turnpike….And some Old Rag Mountain trail heads…. and the parking area….And Weakley Hollow Road.
Don’t forget Nethers and Etland!! Maybe the top of Old Rag too for all we know!

He travelled between 1-5 miles daily in a circle. Then a zig zag. South, southwest, north again. You get the picture?

Seriously I don’t know about you, but I would REALLY love to know what he was thinking! But all that really matters is: Louis is safe and HOME after taking off after? After what? No one knows that either, opportunity or the sound of gunshots maybe, from his family’s second home, a beautiful farm nestled in the hills and hollers of Madison County Virginia.

5 years old, a Lab/Great Pyrenees mix, Louis beat the odds, beat the track, beat the cameras, beat the trap Monica Good of Real Deal Trapping lugged up there, and beat the drone which we didn’t know about. If he beat himself up too you would not know it. His fur mom says he’s ok, skinnier of course, and full of ticks, but remarkably in good shape.

K9s Bayou and Shelby and I were called in on July 24th, Day 10, and found odor and confirmed odor. There is not much in the way of signal out there, so we had to follow fur mom and dad into the area of the sighting, 3 miles from home this sighting was, he’d been way further before, as the crow flies but 20! By car, of course, where their son hiking with their other dog, Rosie, as magnet dog.

There had been a sighting near Graves Mountain Lodge on the Old Blue Ridge Turnpike dead-ending in that area. This is the rare case where EVERY sighting, and there were many during the race Louis was having with himself was CORRECT. We could not believe how helpful everyone was, and how connected they were in an area this remote and removed from signal. Somehow everyone knew to look for Louis, in flight mode like crazy. He had been seen that morning of the track, and we were on it, when a nearby logger felled a tree, and the giant CRACKING NOISE which sounded like gunshots, Was all that was needed for Louis to take off again, this being the noise he was most scared of, and off he sprinted, hidden by the woods, we know now, and it looks like he went running 3 miles north in a very short amount of time because he was next reported being seen around Weakley Hollow the next day.

Monica Good went up 3 times to help, but knew he was nowhere near ready for the trap, and after the last sighting yesterday very near home, Louis finally decided it was time to traverse the back trails and show back up like nothing happened! Welcome back big guy!! We discussed tracking devices 🥰. Your family is really happy you are back.

Welcome Home, Meow! 🐾

After 15 days of roaming the roads, Miss Meow is finally safe again! 💛

On day 13, K9 Finley and K9 Harper hit the ground tracking—and within just a few hours, we had real-time photos of the elusive explorer herself!

That’s when Kelly Jones and Christine Ann sprang into action. Traps were set, but Meow had other plans… she strutted in and out like she owned the place, never quite triggering the door. 😼

But we don’t give up that easy. The very next day, Christine came back with a different trap—and this time, it worked.

Safe, sound, and back where she belongs. Welcome home, Meow. 🏡💕

🎉 Honey is HOME! 🎉
After 46 long days missing in Abingdon, MA, this sweet Scottish Fold is finally back where she belongs. 🐾💛

Honey’s mom never gave up. She pulled out all the stops—scent-specific tracking dogs, thermal drones, irresistible food combos, and 4–5 cameras placed across the area.

Like many lost indoor cats, Honey didn’t show up on camera until Day 42—and when she did, she was just 116 feet from where K9 Finley had tracked her scent weeks earlier. 💥 Nose knows!

From there, it was all about patience and precision. We walked Honey’s family through every step of the trapping plan—what to do, what not to do, and how to stay calm while waiting.

And finally… the trap closed. The search ended. Honey is HOME. 💫
Welcome back, brave girl. 🐱💕
