A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who shared and donated towards our new Cat House floor!
We would happily like to share that We have raised all of the funds!!!!
We are truly grateful for all of the love and support from all of you!

Next week we have appointments set with concrete contractors for bids, and hopefully can have the foundation poured in the coming weeks.
We will make sure that we continue to update on the progress of the Cat House. If a receipt is required for your donation, please send me a text.

🐾 UPDATE ON THE CAT HOUSE FLOOR 🐾
Great News!!! Thank you to everyone who has donated so far, to our Fundraising efforts! We are so blessed to have such amazing supporters!!
We have currently raised $1125 so far!!! We are ONLY $875 away from our goal! I am confident that we can raise the rest by this weekend! ♥️
We have started removing everything from the cat house, and will be setting up a temporary area for the current kitties in our care.
Once the cat house is empty, we can start on the demolition of the existing linoleum/plywood floor.
We will then have the house jacked up off of the old rotting foundation and have the new concrete floor poured.
We are hoping to have the construction finished by the first week in April. 😊

🐈‍⬛ Do you love cats? Do you love the work that BARK does? 🐈‍⬛

We are reaching out now, to ask for your support. Our cat house, that had the floor damaged by a flood in 2020, is now desperately in need of a new concrete floor. We have tried for years to replace the floor, but there always seems to be a veterinarian emergency that ends up eating our construction funds.
The floor is currently consisting of wood support beams, plywood with a linoleum topper. The wood has finally rotted away after years of limping by.
A concrete floor would be a permanent solution to the flooring problem and would create a solid surface to support our metal surgical suites for the cats.
The area of concrete that we will need to fill with the solid floor is
20 x 12 feet.
We are wanting to raise $2000 to cover the cost of a solid concrete foundation.
We are hoping to raise the money in the next 2 weeks, before the heat comes.

Just a little about Buckeye Animal Rescue & Kennel:
Did you know that BARK takes in and adopts out close to 500 cats a YEAR? We take in many cats after their owners have passed way, cats that are found as strays, many are from feral colonies (and are too young or friendly to be released back to their colonies) and a lot of kitties that live with family’s that have found themselves in dire situations and need to place their loved pets into a shelter environment.

🐾 MEET ALEXIS 🐾

This sweet, fun-loving, outgoing 2 year old girl is looking for her Furever home!!!
Alexis originally came to BARK when she was six months old.. She was promptly adopted, but then was returned about a year later. The family that Adopted Alexis, went through some changes and realize that they were not a good fit for her.
Alexis is wonderful with other dogs her size. She has also been around medium and small dogs but is still a bit of a “clumsy teenager” and doesn’t know her size.
Alexis is VERY loving and craves attention from everyone she meets. She would do best in a home with another pup to play with and get her energy out. She would be a great addition to any active family who likes to camp or go adventuring. She’d even be a fantastic jogging or daily walking partner!
Alexis loves to play “tag” and have the other huskies chase her and wrestle. ♥️
She is spayed, microchipped and UTD on her vaccinations.
