Pawendipity Pet Sitting LLC began active pet sitting May 1st, 2017 after long time local pet sitting service SuzyQ's Animal Services ended opperations. The majority of Pawendipity's pet sitters, including the owner, Melissa, are former SuzyQ's staff with multiple years of pet sitting experience between them. We service New Freedom, Shrewsbury, Glen Rock, Stewartstown, and parts of Maryland Line a

nd Parkton. Our range is roughly a ten mile radius from Shrewsbury, PA. We offer a variety of visit types, from short pop in checks, daily walker services, custom vacation packages, and even overnight stays in the client's home (availability permitting). While the majority of our pet clients are dogs and cats, we do not shy away from small animals, reptiles, birds, or fish. We also are willing to consider visits for exotics or farmstock animals (fowl, horses, goats, sheep, pigs, etc), on a on by one basis. We pride ourselves on being flexible and accommodating to our clients, to bring the best service, pet care, and pet comfort that we possibly can.

Regular/Daily Walker Availability!

We have openings for 3 to 4 daily/regular walker clients! We are looking for pet parents who need their dogs or other pets looked in on during the work day, between 10am and 3pm. Our area of availability for Regular Walkers is the New Freedom/Shrewsbury area, possibly extending to Glen Rock or Stewartstown for the right clients. Visit lengths of 15 and 30 minutes available.

Regular walkers are clients we see between 1 and 7 days a week on an long term basis. Clients we visit more than 3 days a week qualify for a Regular Walker Discount.

About us:

We are small five person, woman owned and operated, New Freedom based company. We have been serving in the Southern York County/Maryland Line area since May 1st, 2017. We just celebrated our 8th anniversary!

We have cared for dogs, cats, parrots, farm animals, small domestic animals, animals with special needs, and much more! We pride ourselves on flexibility and reliability, and working wi animals who may need a bit more love, patience, and understanding than some.

We are also Drop In structured company. We offer visits ranging from 15 minutes to 60 minutes and charge a flat rate by time reserved. Additional pets do not incur an additional fee per pet.

We also offer customisable vacation packages built around your comfort and your pets needs.

We also offer Work From Home walks, if you work from home but would still like to have someone come by to take your pup out!

Client Requirements:

Dogs and other animals must be reasonably well behaved, and leash walked dogs are required to be at least manageable without excessive pulling or reactivity.

While we proudly work with moderate behavior issues and special needs we cannot serve pets with bite history, uncontrolled extreme separation anxiety, extreme resource guarding, extreme delicate medical issues with complex care or medication regimes, or general habitual aggressive behaviors.

We assess behavior issues/concerns on a pet by pet basis.

We also are sadly unable to offer All Day care such as would be needed for pets that need to have a human with them the majority of the day for medical, anxiety or other reasons. Pets must be able to be safely left alone in the home before and after Regular Walker visits or between Vacation Package stops.

We have chosen a new pet sitting reservation and scheduling program. We are working on setting up with a program called Time To Pet.

Once we have the bare bones fully in place we will be posting a further update and sending out an email to clients with instructions on how to create an account with the new system.

Some clients may receive a Welcome email from the system, and or be contacted privately to help replace info lost in the Power Pet Sitter crash as we manually input a few clients to test the system as well as to get certain reservations back on sitter schedules ASAP.

SERVICE ALERT
Power Pet Sitter has been down since sometime yesterday afternoon. We have reason to be concerned this is more than a temporary inconvenience. We are urgently researching new reservation and scheduling software to port our company and clients over to in anticipation PPS may not come back up. Once we know more and have decisions made we will update our clients.

We have noticed over the past week that clients between Sticks and Hildebrand Road on 851 have been able to text/call our buisness number but are seeming to NOT receive our messages or calls in return.

If you live in and near this zone please be aware we are having trouble reaching you and please check your emails as we are trying to respond to clients that way once we realize our return messages are not being received.

We are unsure if it is network or hardware related. As only clients in a certain region are having trouble.

We have become aware that Power Pet Sitter is experiencing issues generating confirmation emails for clients. If you have not received a confirmation email and are concerned or would like a manually generated confirmation/receipt emailed to you please let us know.

March/April Sleepover Alert!

For current Sleepover clients with primary sitters Melissa and Kris, sleepover availability is already EXTREMELY limited for the months of March and April. If you have not yet placed your sleepover request for those months with those sitters we cannot guarantee availability.

Sleepover packages are still mostly closed to new clients. Devon, our Shrewsbury and Stewartstown sitter, may have availability in her schedule for 1 to 2 new sleepover clients on a case by case basis. Message us to inquire!
