Here is the latest batch of Reingold Bulldog babies. They are 7 weeks old now. 3 boys & 3 girls. Sire is "Klinger" of Pantheon Bulldogs AKC Grand Champion CH Garrulous Ghede Nibo. Dam is Reingold Rising Star.

These two cuties are brothers Orville & Wilbur. They are 8 weeks old. I had just brought them back from the vet for their first vaccinations and health exam when I took this video. (Watch their heads turn in unison. So funny. 😁)

My hope Is that eventually Orville will have a career in the show ring. His brother, Wilbur (on the right) is actually looking for a family of his own. I had been keeping him for a family who had purchased a puppy from me many years ago, but due to a recent unexpected change in circumstances, they have decided to delay getting a puppy.

Remember my newest champion, Reingold Something About Meri? She now has some brand new little brothers and sisters! Very proud to announce that I have full siblings of Meriwether that are now 4 weeks old. They were born on May 5th, 2025.

Here are some photos of the cuties. Meriwether even has a "mini-me". whose name is Ziva I am hoping that little Ziva will have as an illustrious career in the conformation ring as her big sister, Meri. The theme for this litter, by the way, was characters from the TV series, NCIS.

Meriwether is a CHAMPION!
She hasn't been in the show ring since her trip to the Amana Colonies shows with Karen and Chris until this weekend. Meriwether went Winners Bitch at the Land O' Lakes show on January 3rd and received the point she needed to finish her AKC championship.

Meriwether is the 24th AKC champion where I am listed as the breeder. However, she is Reingold Bulldogs' 33rd AKC champion. Most of those dogs were dogs that I showed and raised, but I did not have my name on their mothers' AKC certificates back then, so did not receive credit as a breeder of them when they became champions.

It has been quite a ride for Meriwether and it is about time I recorded some info about Meriwether’s show career here on Facebook.

Meriwether was sired by CH. Spivey’s Silver Solid (Sherm), bred by Ray J Spivey III. Her mother is Reingold Flight of Fancy (Greta). This was Greta's first litter. There were six puppies in the litter and she was named after one of the fairy godmothers in the Disney movie, “Sleeping Beauty”. Meriwether was born November 18, 2022. Meriwether’s AKC registered name is Reingold Something About Meri. I showed Meri in just a few shows last summer. I didn’t enter her in any shows this year until the St. Paul/Minneapolis Bulldog Club shows in July.

Meriwether received Reserve Winners Bitch under breeder judge Sharon D***s. On July 21st, 2024 under breeder-judge Jan Lewis she went Winners Bitch. (photos taken by professional photographer Katylin Winkels are shown below).

Since I was unable to go to the Amana shows myself, good friend Karen Zimny offered to take Meriwether to the Amana cluster for me. Karen and her husband, Chris Osterloh had their own dogs to show (Pantheon Bulldogs), but did a great job showing Meriwether for me. Thanks to Karen and Chris, Meriwether did the following:
On Friday, Meriwether received Winners Bitch for a 4-point major under breeder-judge Sara Black at the BCA Division VI show.

On Sunday morning, she received both Winners Bitch and Best of Winners from breeder-judge Eva Dickey for another 4-point major. To finish off the weekend, she went Winners Bitch again at the Cedar Rapids Kennel Association’s all-breed show for yet another major.

Three specialty show wins almost in a row and 3 majors (probably 4 points, but I am waiting for AKC verification on this) in one weekend -- that was a first for me! Thanks again, Karen and Chris…this would not have happened without you! 🥰

When I have brought in other litters, Dr. Lukas has asked, "What is the theme with this litter?" When I came into the exam room withe Tess's litter, Dr. Lukas was there waiting. This time I told him he had to guess the theme and I was not going to give him any hints. Then I handed him the Post It note with the list of names. Took him just long enough to read the list and he, of course, guessed correctly that it was Twins World Series players. Seems Dr. Lukas has been a big Twins fan from the time he was just a little guy. So not a hard feat for him to guess the theme this time around. 🙂
